I get bloddy noses every once in a while when the weather is dry, and the dry wind has been blowing hard for about a week here. Today I got the worst nose bleed I have had in years. Would not stop bleeding. I can usually snort some hot water(YES it hurts), and that will coagulate and stop the nose bleed. But blood was just gushing out, I mean it looked like a scene from a Stephan KKing movie in the bathroom. So I plugged it up w/ paper towel pieces, and had to replace them every minute or two. I was honestly considering getting medical attention. I decided to vape a bit and get some of the vapor up in my nasal cavity, and after a couple minutes...no more bleeding. Amazing? Yes, it could be coincidence, but I think the VG vapor actually helped the leaky vessel coagulate. I will deffinately grab my nearest PV the next time I get a bleed. I think this may actually work really well.

Kay, so as I expected from past experience, my other nostrill burst a vessel and bled like a stuck pig. I tried vaping right away after plugging the nostril. FAIL! It only works if you clear out ALL the blood before you vape and blow out your nose. This time I did not rinse my nose out w/ hot water, just blew my nose to get all the blood/clots out until the flooding was stightly reduced, then immediately vaped. And after blowing a few drags out my nose(with a plug of paper in to stop blood spray), it stopped bleeding. I got it to stop bleeding all together in @2 min. I've been known to have nose bleeds last 30min or more. Never stopped one in less than 5min before, AFAIK. This is like a miracle for me! I don't think many of you have dealt with regular heavy nose bleeds like I have but it is a major PITA! You can't reall do anything but plug it and sit still. No more for me. This is awesome.

Maybe it's a nicotine effect since it is a vasoconstrictor, closing down the bleeding vessel in the nose. I've not heard of using it directly for that purpose, but I can't think what else other than coincidence x2 it could/would be.

Nah, VG/PG is hygroscopic. Sorry, I didn't mention that because I thought it was common knowledge. That is why we need to drink so much more water when vaping than before. It just dries up/coagulates the blood very rapidly. Plugs it up.
