There seem to be millions of threads about vaping on airplanes (jeeze, people, a thousand would have been plenty :)), but I haven't found anything for bus lines. Sorry if there's a thread for that, I just didn't find one. I'll be taking a trip from Souff Cackalack to Minnesota in August via Greyhound. I've ridden Grehound tons of times, so there's two things I know: It's a long and uncomfortable ride with layovers few and far between, and I needs mah nicotine. Woah, that rhymed! Anyhoo, has anyone else had any experience with vaping on Greyhound? How about the stations? Will security make me take it outside?

I was asking if anyone had personal experience. Do you make that same post for every question asked in this forum? Kinda negates the purpose of the entire Travel section, doesn't it?

No need to get testy. :ohmy:I was simply suggesting that you go right to the authoritative source especially for what is permitted and not permitted. Sounds like you might need to do some vaping now. :vapor: Calm down.

I'd have to say stealth vape or get some low vape juice and just play it low key. They still have the bathrooms on a GreyHound Bus? There you go. I was going to ask you where you put you're luggage on them skinny dogs, but, I guess not!:D

Thanks for the response! As far as I know, they do still have bathrooms. I think in recent years, the windows have been sealed to thwart smokers, but that doesn't stop vapers :D I hope I can get away with a stealth, though, because those bathroms are NASTY. the bus hits a bump ar too high a speed, and. . . *shudder* If anyone's had any sucess vaping in a Greyhound station, though, I'd love to read your testimony. I used to hate going outside a Greyhound station to smoke, because they're often in seedy, high crime areas, and I've been harrassed by hookers and pimps, dealers and addicts, etc. Plus, I've had my carry-on luggage wrested from me on a few occasions.

Sorry if that seemed testy. Looks like yet another case of sarcasm not translating well via forum post. Peace, friend, I mean ya no harm ;)

You're right about one thing; it's tough to read intent (or attitude) on a message board. No body language or facial expressions to help with the communication process. Let's both

just stealth vape.. what I have learned in traveling is if you hate someone send them on a bus.. trains are maybe 10$ more and have smoking cars and you can drink on them..

both the times I was on a bus.. the back seat has been taken by someone transporting dope they would run into the bathroom and reach in the trash and pull out a bag before anyone went to the bathroom..

I've done several long trips on Greyhound in the distant past (about 19 yrs since the last one), and unless it's really crowded no one really pays attention to what other people are doing as long as they aren't bothering anyone with noise and such. I'd get a window seat and if possible sit alone and just scrunch down and vape away. If you're really worried, do what I do at movies and carry a soda cup with a straw and blow into it. Most likely no one will notice what you are doing and if they do explain that it is a replacement for cigarettes to quit smoking. They will most likely assume it's doctor prescribed and leave you alone.

Never traveled by bus on America but here in Spain I travel by bus quite often. I would recommend asking the driver it is ok first. Or sometimes I will sit closer to the back and stealth vape. Again in the bus stations I would ask security. If your not sure you could give them a call. Anyway generally speaking from my experience it is fine once you ask first!:)
