Yep, familiar territory for me, too. I don't think there's much that can be done, really. It's just too darn cold and it counteracts the heat from the coil, giving you ultra cool vapor. I suppose I'm just thankful the vapor doesn't freeze into shards of ice before it hits my throat. That, and I can actually sub zero vape.

I was actually looking at those RBA's that can have up to 8 coils earlier today. Something in my head went, "Hmmmmm...."

Maybe you could keep it in a pocket close to your body to keep it warm?

Actually, I do - I keep it in a pocket of my cargo pants. But in -30c temps...there's really no warmth anywhere, lol.

satellite installation tech here, and i can agree with ya on the outside cold vs inside. best part about my job is after im done mounting the dish on the roof i get to go into the attic to run cables, so on just about every job i have time to vape lol so i cant really complain i guess lol

I'm in and out of a vehicle all day - so I catch a break occasionally to vape inside the car. It's not all bad. But sometimes I'm out for extended periods...that's when I notice it the most.

Yeah in arizona its 17c, i have had no problems...l im only kidding lol... im guessing a lot plays into this try keeping the tank warm with your hand cupped around it possibly on an inner part of your jacket that would sit snug against your body

Gee, in Arizona I'd have thought you can just toss a few drops of ejuice on a hot rock and inhale the vapor through a straw. ;)

Hey guys, I've had the same problem while hunting in cold weather. I've made a rugged case\tube for my ecig carry and when I know i will be carrying it in very cold conditions I wrap the case in a hand or foot warmer with a rubber band. I usually carry it around my neck on the inside of my jacket or in my backpack. This works very well for me and keeps my ecig warm and ready for use. If you are interested in the case\tube you can check it out at floatyoursmoke.com. It gets its name because the case also floats and I use it to carry my ecig down river when canoeing or tubing. Hope this helps.

Good suggestion. I'm thinking a lanyard might be the solution - although I'm not big on something dangling around my neck. But still...maybe whatever works...

how does vaping while hunting effect your success in the hunt? figure that the game would be able to smell the vapor granted not as much as the smell of burnt tobacco but still always wondered about that, same goes for fishing, i know smoking ciggs while fishing i would catch less cause my lures always smelt like baccy hmmm random thoughts i guess

+1

We just had a couple of days of -10 and I thought my blood froze on the way to the car.

Normally we get the same weather here in Niagara as you folk in Ohio (well, at least northern Ohio) - but this winter's been an exception. Lots of lake effect, Alberta clippers and Arctic air mass.

I keep mine on a lanyard in a pouch around my neck the drop it inside my shirt, keeps it warm between vapes. I do not use my stainless drip tips in the cold I switch to plastic. I've vaped in temps around minus 50 F (minus 45 C), tired at minus 82 F (minus 63 C) but found my lungs couldn't take it at that temp. Also hard to hit the button with a gloved hand and if you take the glove off you will receive a nice frostbite.
