Before I begin if there's a similar thread buried somewhere i'm sorry!

So i'm a truck driver for a LTL company, and being in the bottom 6 of the "flex board" I find myself working the dock a good amount. Now I've only been vaping for a little over three weeks so I am to a point still "new". While working the cold dock during the winter time I find my e-cig (I have a T-Rex kit or at least an imitation one) battery doesn't last very long. I can literally take it on the dock while letting it dangle off of my lanyard, while tucking it in between my shirts to give it some kind of warmth, and the battery might last for 12-16 puffs! Is the cold weather causing this? (I'm not sure if this matters but i'm using 1.5 ohm dual coil mega carts) I'm curious if the battery is working harder to produce the vapor due to the cart and liquid being cold. Or is it more likely that after three weeks my batteries are already taking a (you know what)? I do not recall having the issue when I first started vaping three weeks ago! Have any of you experienced vaping in the cold? What's your experience? What's your kit? Thanks!!

@ Washvamp it's "1100". Also yes I do run them until death usually. However, I remember reading that the batteries in the t-rex do not have memory so they do not suffer from pre-mature charging.

@ Martinc thanks! I've been running it in the -5 to 5c range! (had to look up a converter :p) Seems that's probably my issue then. Looks like i'll have to keep it warm in my locker and vape when I can!

Batteries in general don't like cold weather, especially long periods out in extreme cold but what your talking about and keeping it with you I doubt it would have an effect.

I would go to a single coil carto with your T-Rex as it's going to stress the battery. You could also get a bigger battery mod that can handle DC. A 18650 tube can be found pretty cheap and be able to handle it and give you much improved vape time.

i was using the ego batt with the DC mega cartos also in the arctic at 40 below,,,they don't like to produce vapor and the battery don't last very long either,,
the same batteries are working just like new also

the lanyard idea is the best i have come up with so far ..keep it as warm as possible is about the only thing you can do

I've noticed a similar problem with both of my vv mods. My problem is they just don't want to fire or fire with less than normal power until my hand warms them back up. I haven't noticed a battery drain, but that's probably because I start every day with a fresh set of batts. The metal Buzz Pro is a little harder to warm up than the plastic Foxy Box mod, but that's to be expected. They are both fine if I keep them in my pocket.

Key ingredient in anti freeze. The FDA didn't lie about that. They just left out that it also is used in many household items. Like dayquil, toothpaste, iceing and many others. And of course they left out that it is deemed safe by the FDA.

Back in my rebel days I had a green mohawk. I dyed it with the dye that they put in antifreeze. the colour was amazing. And when people asked what I used and when I told them it seems all they heard was antifreeze. And that it was going to melt my head.
