I find myself sneezing whenever I start a vaping session. I'm not convinced it's related since my allergies have been really bad this year. And where I live, they're pretty much year-round.

I vape 100% VG. Again, I really can't say it's related, but I'm starting to think so! Doesn't seem to be tied to any particular flavors. I've heard of allergic reactions to PG, but not so much re. VG.

Of course this hasn't stopped me from vaping -- hitting the allergy meds -- but it is discouraging!

Anyone else??

Oh - I also cough quite a bit at first. Then it seems like my throat gets used to it (moisturized, or maybe coated w/ VG) and it stops.

This is probably a mild intolerance to VG. Understand, we have the same intolerance to cigarette smoke too but our bodys adapt. It will probably pass, but if it does not, consider changing your ration to like 20/80 or 30/70 and see if it changes. But sneezing on vaping is a histamine reaction to a foreign invader.

For allergies in general you might also consider taking Cilantro for a month and eating it in handfuls throughout the day.

I thought the same thing, but I had vaped VG for awhile before without that happening. Whatever it was, thankfully it stopped. We were also having a drought at the time and it coincided with lower humidity as the weather got cooler and oak trees pollinating so I noticed it was drier and perhaps dustier. Also, vaping is adding moisture so it could be something as simple as going from a dry breathing condition to a moist one suddenly.

I've been vaping for about 3 months now. No cig since. I've noticed the hay fever type symptoms for 2-3 weeks. It didn't happen at first.

I think you might be right, Swer3397. [off-topic: Were there 3396 other Swers? ] It does seem like a histamine reaction.

I do exhale through my nose. I LOVE doing that. When I smoked, I always exhaled through my mouth so i could blow the smoke far away from me. With vaping, i enjoy the clouds of vapor swirling around - that don't make me stink!... I could swear it's helping my sinuses too. Even tho I hear the moisture is coming from my body -- it seems to be keeping my nose & sinuses MOIST. In fact I spray out little droplets of water sometimes when I exhale! [note to self: must clean inner dash window] Anyway... yes maybe this is irritating the issues instead of helping. Or maybe i'm just plain allergic to it. Or developing an allergy to it.

OR... maybe it's just all the mold in the air lately.

Sometimes I sneeze alot when I vape but haven't completely figured out why. I have tons of vendors juices and am doing some DIY. Been experimenting with adding PG at different percentages and I'm thinking that's it. I've heard that some flavors are PG based and so even though my nic juice is VG, from what I've read, the flavors can be putting small amounts of PG in there. If I like the taste and smell of a juice, I guess I'll put up with some sneezing LOL

I as well sneeze more then ever the last 1 1/2 years of vaping. I have been told by my Dr that it may be the floral ingredients in my juice that is causing it. Whats worse is that it is random attacks. I have used the same flavor (FSUSA DesertShip 30p/70v 18mg) since I quit, mixing it up a bit trying to see if it is. Regardless Im still sneezing.

I havent had one OTC work, nor has any prescription has worked. What I have found useful is the nasal rinse OTC. $20 and 50 packets. This cleans your whole sinus canal and has worked on and off the last few months. My Dr also said that regardless of exhale through your nose or your mouth, the vapor still resides in your airway which overtime can "build up" which is why your nasal mucus or dried mucus has a much different look prior to analogs.

Just wish I could stop sneezing all together.

Well the jury is still out... Went a few days not sneezing - just my usual mold allergy symptoms (watery red eyes etc). So I decided there was no connection to vaping. Then yesterday I sneezed whenever I vaped. Go figure!!

socalfisher, I do the nasal rinse too. It helps a lot, esp the red eyes. Was using Zyrtec every day & decided it's not helping much, so have gone back to tried & true Benadryl and Sudafed.

VG dries out the sinuses in my case. I also found vaping to be very useful at fighting a sinus infection. I used clove flavoring in my VG mix (I certainly wouldn't recommend inhaling it!) and by exhaling it through my nose, got rid of the infection much faster than I've ever experience before.

I find that "violet" and "jasmine" make me sneeze quite a lot at first, but then, once my body realizes I'm hell bent on vaping this, settles down and gives up ;)
