I know it's been posted around here, but I really would like replies for my exact cause.

To start off, I'm new to vaping. I got my first ecig almost 2 weeks ago. I got an joyetech eGo One and I really like it tbh, it's easy to maintain and it looks of good quality compared to the starter ecigs they had at the place I went to. But I've noticed since I started vaping, that if I vape more than a few times before setting it down, I get a really upset stomach and sometimes get really bad nausea. I started doing some research, and it looks like it could possible be a PG allergy, or nicotine overdose. I don't think it's the nicotine, because I used to smoke a pack or reds everyday with absolutely no problem, and I'm only using 12mg which seems low compared to others.

Also, I don't feel the buzz I used to get from cigs, but I'm trying to go down if anything tbh. I'm a hypochondriac and even nicotine can cause health problems, so I'm weaning myself off it all together eventually. And also this stomach pain isn't helping my health anxiety, because sometimes I assume it's a much worse cause than it probably is.

I'm thinking about trying Virgin Vapors, since they're organic and I feel like they're more pure than what I'm currently using. I got my stuff from a local store called vapor bank, and they are a really small store and their website doesn't look trustworthy so I'm not sure if I wanna vape their stuff. But the people there are very friendly, so that's good.

But do any of you have symptoms like this whenever you vape a few times? And have you figured out what the reason is?

Well, first chasing a cigarette buzz from vaping is a bad idea. Vaping is not smoking, vapor is not smoke. You don't get your nic intake the same way so it can't hit you upside the head in a split second like cigarette smoke does.

Nausea could be the result of two different things. It's not uncommon for people quitting smoking to have gastrointestinal problems when quitting. So there's that.

And/or it could be the result of a bad vaping technique, where you are 'gulping' vapor and swallowing it more than inhaling it. You may need to slow your roll and start with a basic vape technique, work up to mouth to lung, and then go to straight lung inhale if you are so inclined. ~> http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/337017-inhalation-technique-e-cigarette.html

Hi Ziconic and welcome to the forum!

As others have said, it could be any one of or a combination of things.

Your vaping technique.
The nic level at high power.
A sensitivity to PG (or, for a few people, VG).

Since it seems that the fewest people have any sensitivity to VG, you coul start to investigate the issue by getting some USP VG from a drug store, thinning it down with about 5% distilled water and try vaping that. It won't have any flavor besides being slightly sweet, but that will tell you if the problem is in your vaping technique.

Next, try a 0nic flavored VG juice. If the problem goes away, it was your nic level and you'll have to find a lower nic level juice that you can use.

Once you have the other two investigated, try a higher PG percentage juice. Say 60PG/40VG. If the problem re-appears, then you know it's the PG.

Hope it helps and Happy Vaping!

Can I be honest?

12mg on an eGo One? That could well be too much. How much liquid are you getting through? Which resistance coil are you using?

I'd be vaping 3mg at the kind of power the ego one produces. Not that you should do this, but 12mg at high power is kinda nuts.

Since when?

I have to EVOD single BC and have been vaping 12 mg and 18 mg Halo through them just fine. Plenty of vapor.

I've watched at least ten EVOD YouTube videos and read all 14 pages of the EVOD thread.

You are the first person I've heard say an Ego/EVOD can't vape 12 mg juice.

It may be the liquid you are using. I know that some of the cheaper brands of liquid used to give me nausea and bad stomach aches. Also I noticed the ego ones gave me bad headaches. I have not had that problem going to a Nautilus mini and the mini eleaf stick. It hits just right and feels great. no more nausea. So maybe a higher end liquid will work for you. I know some people tried Criss Cross liquids and they had issues later. Remember take your time to feel what is right for you.

The Ego One is much more powerful than an Evod. It produces way more vapor. The tank provided comes with a choice of a 1 ohm coil and a .5 ohm coil. The .5 ohm coil has more airflow than the 1 ohm coil.

I'd just check your not swallowing any e-liquid. If your chimney has juice in it can cause you to swallow e-liquid (raw nicotine) which can cause nicotine poisoning. This has happened to me and caused me to feel extremely sick, stomach cramps and fatigue also. Just check your chimney hasn't got juice in.

If you don't know how to check if it has juice in, you try taking a puff without powering the vape, if you get strong flavour, feel it on the back of your throat or can hear gurgling or spitting then it is the case. Also if your tank is lower than about 30% filled it can leak due to pressure. Try taking your drip tip off, putting some tissue over the end and shaking the tank quite hard for a few seconds, if there's juice on the tissue then your chimney has juice in it. If it does, continue doing this until the tissue isn't collecting more juice, then your chimney is clear.
Hope this helps

Edit: You can get nicotine poisoning even if you've been inhaling nicotine for years. Also if you want the buzz use higher nicotine content juices but don't over do it, this can cause head aches.

Thanks everyone for replying. And for some more information, I am using the 1 ohm coil that comes with it. It does come with a 0.5 ohm, but the dude at the store said he wouldn't bother with it and just come in to get another 1 ohm when mine runs out. I do taste it a little bit whenever I hit it without powering it on, but I try to clean it everyday so it doesn't build up and get nasty. I might try the chrome tip that comes with it (I've been using the glass one) because it's a little bit smaller than the glass one. Also, I think I'm going to order Space Jam because it sounds good and see if it's just the vender that's the problem. I guess this will take a little trial and error to find the reason, but thanks to you guys I have some more insight. So thank you!

Also... although there are *generalized* correlations between number of smokes per day and mg of nicotine, they're very far from hard and fast -- I smoked at least a pack a day for 39 yrs, and for quite a few of those years, 2 pks a day, and even 3+ pks a day for a few years -- but 12mg gave me exactly what you described, pains in my stomach and nausea. It was only when I went down to 6mg that i was able to vape as much as I liked -- and I was using an eRoll, a cigalike that is by no means a cloud machine. I'm using far better equipment now, get plenty of vapor, and I vape around 10mg all the time -- I still can't handle 12mg, but I don't chainvape much anymore; with 10mg and good hardware, I don't need to.

Because what you described sounds exactly like nicotine OD, and nothing at all like any "PG allergy" (which I suspect is nothing of the sort, but only PG sensitivity) I've ever heard of.

Ego One Mega owner here. 12mg isn't too much. 18mg was a bit harsh, but that's about it. Different strokes and all that ...

I think it's the mystery B&M e-liquid. Probably re-packaged Hangsen. I vaped some Hangsen in Prague once to see if I could live with it because it is readily available. Made me feel a bit queasy. Could have been the 30 beers I had throughout the day, though, but the bad feeling started with the Hangsen. Dumped that tank and went to Prime 15 and all was good...
