Getting ready for bow season. I went last year and had to go all day not smoking. Can I vape without scaring deer away? Thanks.

Thanks. Yeah, the sound of vaping deer piss doesn't sound too plesant lol. I did just buy a jwrap realtree camo skin for my Vamo because I like realtree. I was reading the reviews amd some lady said something about her husband might loose his PV if he dropped it off his deer stand. Wante to hear from others if they have done this.

They could probably smell unflavored. Were talking about deer here, an almost flawless creature. They have survived for thousand(s?) of years. All their senses have been honed to perfection.

Also, props for bow hunting. I don't hunt deer, just waterfowl. I hate rifle hunting, its classless and a child could do it.

If a deer smells anything foreign to them aka human made odor they run for the hills, does vg or pg have a smell? How about nicotine cause whatever doesn't you can use and should be fine, your natural odor will scare them more then lets say the smell of pine if thats something you could vape haha but ozonics or whatever might be worth a try when vaping since it dissipates faster then smoke.
I don't know tbh but its worth a try a few days of hunting season, I might go out with the bow this year and try but I don't know if I will even go at all so might just not try so I can at least see a deer.

You're right, but the smell of most juice isn't going to be threatening to them. Deer avoid us by smell because they've learned to fear us and cigarettes are well, something burning so of course they want to stay away from that. I've vaped (unflavored) within a few feet of a deer without it scaring them off. Noisy grand kids on the other hand sent 'em running.

Try an apple flavor, deer love apples.
But in all honesty I've taken 3 deer bow hunting with a lit analog in the past. I don't think the smell of an cig spooks them as much as people think.

Does the Vamo have that rattlesnake sound when you vape? Deer might not care for that, either! I'm a fisherman, not a hunter, but seems to me they may not like that sound!
Thanks for the replies. I'm also going to use a ground blind so that might help. I'll stick to an apple or peach flavor. Don't plan on going crazy vaping but would be nice to do so. I have the sent blocker stuff so I should be good as far as my odor.

I was wondering the same thing, I actually just finished writing an email to Back Woods Brew asking about a cedar, apple, oak flavor hoping there was something I could use as a cover scent. I never smoked analogs in my stand but still the smell had to be on me. I hunt along the Mississippi in north west Illinois, so after I have a grasp on what I am doing next year I might try to make some cedar flavor juice. There aren't any apple trees on our property so that may weird them out, but it's still worth a shot. My buddy dips and swears if he has a berry or apple flavor in it attracts deer. He hunts about a half hour from me. Mmmm doe in estrous vape juice... on second thought I'll pass
If the wind is blowing their way they will smell it. However I doubt that it would spook them, if they spook it will be the human scent that will work against you. I'm an avid "traditional" bowhunter and have taken deer with my pipe in my mouth. That is before I quit and started vaping.
None of the deer I've ever hunted we're alarmed by my cigarette smell / smoke when I smoked.
I started vaping full time last December and hunted deer many times while vaping, the silly fire button light was more problematic than the vapor odor. Coyotes & wild pigs don't seem spooked by my vape either shot a bunch of them while vaping.
IMO, your movement will spook more game than scents or noise.

I know plenty of people who bring home deer and smoke in their stand or blind all day without regard. I don't think it is an end all, but the question is: When that big smart buck that you know is in the area starts lurking around and smells that, will HE bolt?
