There's supposedly some effect on Crohn's disease from smoking, primarily from the damaging of mucous cells when you smoke cigarettes. I'm not 100% sure, but I assume vaping doesn't have quite the same effect.

The overall answer (I'm imagining) is: "No, vaping shouldn't affect your Crohn's disease, positively or negatively."

That said, the nicotine in your vape might have a "laxative" effect, and sort of move things along, which for someone with Crohns could be good or bad, depending on how you've been feeling that day really.

I'm not a doctor, and the studies haven't really been done yet, but as far as I'm aware you shouldn't have any problems or negative side effects from vaping and having Crohns (I don't, at least).

Just trying to make sure I get you, do you have Crohn's and also currently vape? We are not doctors, you should speak to your doctor about Crohn's and vaping. I will say though if you are a smoker with Crohn's I can not imagine that you are doing yourself any worse.

I quit smoking five months ago and have noticed improvement in my health , I wonder if anyone knows cases or if I can provide any advice from personal experience

There's a lot of evidence online that says that smoking w/ crohns is not good for the crohns, as it can lead to inflammation/can worsen inflammation.

So naturally, you've quit smoking, and picked up something that isn't as bad (or at least, isn't worsening your inflammation), so you're gonna notice an improvement in your health.

I can tell you this: I went to my doctor and requested a prescription for Chantix to quit smoking. My doctor refused, citing some pretty scary side effects with Chantix. He expressly told me to get a vape setup and put the cigarettes down for good. He said he didn't care if I was a nicotine fiend for the rest of my life, but that I'd be healthier and live longer without the 4,000 substances that are in cigarettes.

to ecf jangur. Nice to meet you and glad you are here. So sorry to hear about you being sick for so long at such an early age. A really awful disease. (my neice has it). I have many medical issues but don't know what I would do without vaping. Smoking was my "comfort" and thank goodness vaping has taken its place. I wish you well. Good luck to you and happy vaping.
