vaping alcohol?

People frequently add a few drops of alcohol to increase throat hit and thin it out. Too much would probably be pretty harsh. I have been exposed to alcohol fumes strong enough and long enough to feel the effects. I didn't much care for it.
Careful on how much you add, around 2% is enough for it to do it's job and not have ill effects.
If you try to vape pure alcohol, you'd be punished quite fast. The boiling point of ethanol is 78 C (172 F) - It'll boil off right away on the atty and you may severely burn your mouth.
But everyone here is of legal age... and have brains. Hopefully.

I wouldn't try pure alcohol like that. -That just seems kinda stupid..
I came to think about this because i like whiskey. Ant it tastes nice to smoke (analog) after/during a sip of whiskey, so maybe if i drop some whiskey in my ejuice...?
But does the alcohol really get that much more intense if vaped? -I mean, to get drunk on say 40% alcolol, you will need at least a couple of cl. -But if vaped, you get the effects from a few drops?
-Then it should also leave your system much much faster?
Does the liver and kidneys and so on still process the alcohol in the same way as should you drink it?

I like whiskey too but only in a glass or jar, toasting me mates here and abroad and the girls we left behind

I have been switching from nicotine to non nicotine liquids, and since the non nic have no throat hit i add a bit of ever clear just a few drops to my no nic liquids to give it a throat it...the throat hit is different but still has the same effect like im actually smoking
Think about how much alcohol you need to drink to get drunk. It's probably at least a couple of ounces. There's roughly 30ml/oz. I know I couldn't vape 60ml in a couple of hours. I think you'd be hard pressed to feel more than the slightest effect from it. But if you decide to give it a "shot" that's your business.
Inhaled is different. I'm not a doctor but, as I understand it when you drink alcohol the liver does some processing right away. If the alcohol gets in another way, that doesn't happen. That's why every now and then you'll hear about someone dying from using alcohol ...ummm at what is normally the exit port.
That's what I think too, so how much do you think is needed to be affected by the alcohol, and how soon do you think it'll wear off?
Why Im wondering (besides the health- aspect), is that here in Sweden you can't drive after drinking alcohol (I know it's legal in many other places, but here it's a huge no-no), so if i vape say 2ml of alcoholic- basted liquids, it might not entirely be impossible to be affected by it enough to loose my driving- lisence if i'm pulled over (or maybe even too drunk to drive at all)?

But... -Do you know if this will have an effect on for example your liver?
Maybe you could eventually even become an acloholic addict after regular use of alcohol in PV's?

Hey, guys... remember that your body produces alcohol, too. It's called endogenic alcohol and an average body produces several grams of it daily (an ounce or so). Suppose you use 10% alcohol in your liquid. Vaping 3 ml means inhaling 0.3 ml or 0.2 g of pure alcohol.
If you compare 0.2 g with roughly 20g you'd see that it's approx. 1%. Therefore you can neglect that amount.

Ive experimented with diluting alcohol with eliquids to thin them out but Ive found that it loses the flavor, ive tried using less drops but can't seem to get it right. I guess some DIY are better than others
Usually people might add up to 10% PGA or 151 vodka to a juice to thin it or give it a stronger throat hit.
Assuming you added even 20% PGA (Pure grain alcohol, 95%), and vaped 3 ml. That would be .02 ounces of alcohol getting into your system. The equivalent of about 1/25th of a shot of hard alcohol (most are around 50%). Even though it would get into your blood stream faster, having been absorbed by your lungs, and not your stomach - I would say no, not enough to get you in trouble by driving. It would also take what, at least an hour to vape 2-3 ml, and it would also leave your system quickly.
Unless you're underage and there is a zero tolerance law for alcohol while driving, I wouldn't worry about it. You'd probably get more absorbed into the blood vessels of your mouth when you use mouthwash.
If you're looking for the taste of alcohol in your vape, you'd probably do better buying one of the liquor flavored juices. Those are actually some of my favorite (puffing on Jamaican Rum now ). Using actual alcohol to mix in the juice has it's purposes, vaping straight alcohol is probably not a great idea - Though really, how often is anything with alcohol a "Great Idea"? That being said, I can guarantee it won't get you inebriated, you simply won't be able to vape enough in a short enough time for it to have an effect.

Our friend, a policeman, experimented with vaping e-liquid containing 10% of alcohol. Breathalyzer result after 1 minute: 0.00.
I accidentally sort of tried it once while trying to get an atomizer clean/dry. It's an odd sort of buzz- all the stupidity of mary jane but without the fun part. I actually avoid eliquid with much alcohol in it now- it just makes me foggy, and I need all of the brain cells I can get.
That's sort of what I was saying in my first post in this thread. The time I inhaled too much alcohol vapor, it was more like being hungover than being drunk.
