No. A doctor will prescribe a medication. It should take care of it within a few days. Typically babies get thrush from not quite so clean bottle nipples. Adults can get it also for whatever reason. Nibbling on a pencil eraser, possible dirty drip tips... It is not a big deal but VERY treatable.
