Man this sucks i just started vaping its my fav hobby now
But i found out that my country Netherlands is banning flavor juices which im fine with because im doing DIY anyway you can still buy aroma concetrates and base so and nic but!!
Then today i also found out that they are banning all webshops!
Means i wont be able to order gear ,what stays open is the physical stores so i have to go to multiple shops just to find a cool mod i want kinda sux
This goes in in juli...
Next week im getting paid i think im going to order like 3-4 mods lol that i want just so i have the ones i want but yeah kinda sux...
Hopefully those stores will stack more products since webshops are not available anymore so that there be more choices in mods but well see..
But i do kno next week when i have some money im ordering like 4 mods lol..

I hear you my brother.

In Spain it seems they want to follow the same way, with the excuse of ''we doing it for the kids'' they are screwing us the adults that need vaping so we don't go back to smoking.

I did a video comment on the situation:

Basically there is a bill that is waiting to be presented and hopefully NOT SIGNED.

But if it gets signed vape shops/distributors have 6 months to turn in a ton of paperwork, that will give them an extension of 5 years that allows them to stay open.
After 5 years they have to close shop,we talking about 400'ish vaping shops in Spain and about 3500'ish people that would lose their job and business.

Doubt they will go for tax on electronics and devices (mods, tanks),batteries nah they can't tax that, pg/vg nah, aromas either...way i see it disposables and nic are going to be super taxed.

Only the government operated stores which are the only legal places you can buy cigarettes and lottery are the ones that will sell the nic, again with a huge tax on it.

It's a question about numbers,67 is the retirement age in Spain and when you retire you get your pension from the government.
That pension is paid every month when you get your paycheck, they take X amount of money from your monthly paycheck (depends on how much you earn) so when you get your pension when you retire you get more or less depending on how much you earned.

Think the government wants you to be healthy (non smoker) and live up to 98 years old?
Nah they want you to retire at 67 and hopefully die from lung cancer at 68 and that is 30 years of pension money that goes right back at them...pathetic.

Government and politicians as a whole forgot a long time ago that they should be looking out for the citizens, you know the ones that pay their salary and that is why we have this problem at the moment.

Want to stop under age vaping?
Harsher laws must be enforced to those who sell them, store gets caught selling disposables to a minor? 10 grand fine.
Caught a second time? close their shop for good, yeah that's right, that is the only way they will learn.
Would also help if parents also did their job and actually EDUCATED their kids but nah its too much work.

Personally?
Screw the kids that vape, not my problem.
What is my problem is that they are messing with the adults that need vaping so they don't go back to smoking cigarettes.

I saw a news segment last week about vaping in the UK, which is not an EU member any more. Apparently teen vaping has gone up a little there and they are looking at ways to control it. The numbers aren't really high, I think they went up from 5% to 8% of teens who were regular or occasional users. Seems they aren't looking at bans though. They are talking about selling vapes in plain packaging like cigs, and keeping them out of sight behind the counter rather than in display stands out front. And maybe restricting some of the more "kid friendly" flavors like bubblegum. The manufacturers are advocating only allowing vapes to be sold in places that are licensed for it.

Trouble is none of those measures is going to stop kids getting their hands on vapes, any more than it stops them getting their hands on cigs or booze or anything else.

Trends vary depending on the generation.
Before it use to be alcohol, you know hang out the local store and just ask a ''cool looking'' dude to buy the booze for you and you gave him 20 dollars.
Now just the same but with disposables *shrug*

But UK has actually chosen to draw up a new TPD with the rest of Europe, which they are working on now, perhaps even out for consultation.

When it comes to how much they want vape businesses to pay in taxes per item sold, it is no small matter.

What can change the taxes is the target for the reduction of tobacco products, but what can mean that they want to tax vape as high as tobacco products is to try to prevent young people from buying vape equipment.
Actually, vape is a good thing in many ways, but the cowboys destroy the whole point of vape as we’ve seen in UK.

What is perhaps most frightening about the politicians is that I have not seen & heard a single argument that says that vape is very dangerous to health.
