I'm right there but I just can't pull it off. They all smell incredible but I can't pull the flavor out of these liquids.

I've got Crème Brûlée, CLS, Royal Custard, Bryces Vanilla and custard, Frenilla and a host of others.

I can't get it, the taste isn't popping and all these juices get good reviews, hell people rave! I can taste any other juice I vape.....ANY!

I've tried different ohm, coils, gauges, wire and drippers.

What the hell?

I am looking for flavor, TH and clouds don't concern me!

Help a custard freak out.

What are you doing?

What is your build?

What the hell am I doing wrong?

I used the advance search and found one good post but the coil they suggested is insane.

PLEASE

Patience brother.

CLS needs a good two weeks in order to become, and I can't hit it over 9w. Creme Brûlée needs a little steep as well, and I can vape that as high as I can take it and it's awesome!

Also, try vaping it "on the side" for a while, meaning use them as your change-up vape on a secondary device. That's what helped me get the flavor down :D

I disliked a lot of custards until I started venturing my builds out. Vaped mothers milk on dual micro coils, nano coils an nothing then I built a 24ga paralell coil and I couldn't put it down. Also some of the twisted builds, right now I have a nimbus built with a 5 wrap 28ga twisted vaping sweet tooth by alpha vaped which is a vanilla graham cracker. So just try different things man I mean I was one of those guys who was very content with my dual 24ga macro coils but I have found a whole new world of coil building and I love it.

Very cool Doug, that helps. I've been pretty much doing the same thing but haven't gone below .7 ohms. I just wanted to have some juice left by the time I found the right build. :)

I'll give the twisted 28 a run, I don't have any 24 ga left. What size did you wrap the twisted 28?

Thanks!

I've noticed that vaping Mother's Milk in my Kayfun tastes like almost nothing. So good when you drip though.

My "goto" build is a 28awg micro coil (1/16")...usually 9-10 wraps (gets me 1.2-1.4 ohms) and I wick exclusively with sterile cotton. As has been suggested (and you've likley tried), just keep testing voltage's until you find the good one. If not, I'm sure you can find someone who'll take the CLS and CB off your hands :D

Try, 0.38 ohm 3/4 twisted (3 strands of 28g kanthal), old school genesis atty, cotton wick (wick cut to the deck surface trimmed to just above the coil), on a mechanical mod. I wrapped this on a smallish screwdriver, the triple wound 28g ends up thick so the diameter you wind around is more a function of room than much else on a genesis atty. Don't expect batteries to last more than 2ml or so with this setup, it's fun though.

Wick needs to be saturated, fire it and enjoy the warm custard flavor as if it just came out of an oven.

Just don't do this on questionable batteries please, and don't short this out in your pocket or anywhere else for that matter.

Excellent, thank you Maurice. I use Sony vtc5 and efest 35A exclusively but I appreciate you thinking about my safety. I have a 510 meter and check the batteries often.

The dripping is strictly for the house and the REO goes on the road with me.

Wick needs to be saturated, fire it and enjoy the warm custard flavor as if it just came out of an oven.

That's the goal, so again the build suggestion is appreciated! I'm twisting 28 ga right now.

Anyone else :p

Rockin now folks.

I did builds with both Kanthal and Nichrome, 5 wraps each and both are producing the best flavor I've gotten from these liquids. Thank you all very much, I was getting ready to give them away.

And you finally got me twisting wire, I just needed a little motivation and you provided it!

Twisted coils opened up a whole new world of flavors for me when I took the plunge, not to mention the vapor temperature, so I'm glad I could be of some help.

optimizing ones build and wicking is all part of the vape journey. Currently am loving twisted wire combos, get more wick to coil coverage while keeping the ohms down, providing instant and more flavorful vape too. I didn't try twisted till I became proficient at building. Wicking ultimately has the final vote on ones vape. I started with cotton, moved onto hemp fiber, now loving Ramie Fiber.

I basically try to build a coil to use up all the space allowable between the posts while keeping the ohms around 0.7 ohms, that way I can use them on all my mods, mechanical and regulated, and still get a great vape. For single horizontal builds, am favoring 1/8" diameter coils, for vertical mounted coils, I wrap them around a 16 or 18 gage mandrel. All depends on my rba and the build I decide on.

I chase total Vape satisfaction, not clouds, but must say, clouds seem to chase me, but dissipate with time. lmao. Just keep at it, perfection comes with practice. What's your rba, type coil, wick of choice, watts vaped at???.... all these things, and more, influence the Final Vape produced.

sweetspot for me is 24g at around 0.5 ohms. but the biggest improvement for me was when i switched my cotton to Shiseido facial cotton.

Thanks, I appreciate the post. I keep an eye on this thread. Custards and Vanilla's are my favorites and you can never have enough builds.

I have the exact same problem. All these great, high rated vc's taste like garbage to me. Some have been steeped in pitch black, cool places for months. The only one I can somewhat enjoy is big willies custard. .44 dual cotton rda/mech. I think the only thing left for me to do would be maybe vape fastech juice for a day or two and then everything will taste good. I too am still trying to figure out what the masses are getting out of these juices. To me they totally suck. And Ive got them all except "Jimmy no juice ever man's juice."
