I am the same way with coffee Vapes. My wife likes MBV Hazelnut Coffee, but i don't care for any coffee flavors. But try taking my coffee away in the morning and you have to ask yourself one question, "do you feel lucky, punk".

Death Wish coffee makes me ponder.......
Should I drink 6 shots....or only 5?????!!:D
BTW.....Nicoticket's Wakonda juice is a coffee/tobacco vape you might consider.....Not really heavy on the coffee (IMHO, as I prefer my real "joe" BLACK......) but full round flavor, nonetheless.....
Happy (vaping) Trails!

If the reason you don't care for the custard flavors is because of a chemical taste just give up. All custards use diacetyl or its substitutes in the flavoring. I find the taste to be both very noticeable as well as unpleasant although the vast majority of people don't. The tiny upside is that by not vaping these types of juices popcorn lung from diacetyl or its brethren is off the table as a concern.

Yes it is. For those very few of us who can taste it diacetyl and its kin are very easy to detect in many different flavors. It cuts down on juice choices considerably.

Love rich foods, never liked rich vapes, so custardy buttery vapes were always out for me. As a matter of fact, I can't even "smell" one without feeling sick to my stomach.

Now crawfish etouffee to eat....a different story. (note the butter am't in recipe )

Per Aspera,

I'm personally concerned with vaping eliquids that contain diketones. I thought only custard, cream, and vanilla type flavors contain them, although, to be quite honest, I had a feeling that there's a possibility there were more, and that I just didn't know it. Apparently, after reading your posts, diketones are a flavor component of eliquids that don't necessarily fall into the above three listed categories. Unfortunately, my sense of taste can't discern which eliquids contain them (by taste alone).
Could you please share the information you have on this topic? Besides creams & custards, what other eliquid flavors contain diketones? Is there a list?

Thank you in advance!

Thanks to everyone who answered. I'm still unsure about what to do, but for a while I think that I am just going to stay away from them. As popular as they are, I'm thinking that it must be something in the flavoring that doesn't agree with my taste buds. I'm not sure that is fixed by going up the vendor chain.

Yup, I taste it too, and it's caused many a juice to be pif'd to my friends, because I detest the taste.

Someone else using my sense of taste for diacetyl testing is an entire universe outside my comfort zone! I believe one or more of the flavoring companies who supply for DIY are now doing some testing. You might want to check out the DIY forum.

I totally identify with the "taste like foot" comment. At times it can taste like the toe jam between the toes of the foot:oops:

I have CLS on a long steep because that's what it tastes like to me right from the mail. I know I know...I said it.

I have had great success with Jolly Rogers Captains Custard as well as Nick's Blissful Brews Smoke Custard. Both very very good and I "get" the custard strongly!

With that said, I have been DIYing many different batches of the stuff to try to get the perfect blend. Give Nicks or Jollys a shot to bring back the faith.

G/L in your search. Don't give up!

Custard flavors are a tricky business. If you are into sub-ohm vaping, don't even bother with that flavor profile, as it's usually destroyed/distorted at high wattages. Usually, the higher the wattage, the more the custard starts to taste like burnt rubber, and other weird flavors. Everything I vape is custard based, and there is a wide range of flavor profiles clumped into the custard area. Some taste like straight black pepper, others are more like heavy cream, and some are more along the lines of pudding, which I prefer. If you want to give a few more a try, look into Sweet Assets by Juggz Juice, as well as Thick Vanilla Custard by Steam Juice. Those are the two best custards I've had.
