new to e cig forum. can you smart people help me with my battery problem? new to vaping/batteries. i got a efest imr 18650 2000mah 3.7v li-mn . and (2) efest imr 18350's 800mah and a vamo v5 mod..i can use (1) 18350 and vamo works fine in mini mode. i cant use (2) 18350's stacked and it works GREAT. but If i use the (1) 18650 vamo will not turn on...i stretched spring thinking it might help contacts--- contact of battery does not appear to be the problem... multimeter check on the 18650 gives me 4.16 volts ---i don't understand why my vamo will work with (2) 18350 yet not the 18650 it was made for when multimeter check is good...im not sending back vamo --i love it and vamo came from fasttech so i will just deal with it if need be. any ideas if i can fix this issue?

the shrink rap thing just might be it....checking on that now... the 18350 look to have contacts stick out just a bit above the battery's case rapping but ever so little. its got to be it..i can tell by your replies that this is just weird.. the 18650 red outer raping is sticking up on the positive just a hair bit more then 18350 ---sticking my finger in vamo it feels like the head connector pin sits flush ---i think if i shave abit of the side of top of battery it might just connect ---though im scared that it will hurt battery possibly--

lol i cant believe it, thank you guys lol...wish i did take pics it was such a small difference did not look like it was the problem and when looking into vamo the posetive pin looks like it sticks down but after checking --its flush on mine and the heat shrink around battery on the 18650 was just enough to keep it from connecting..shaved heat shrink off around sides of top of battery only on the 18650 and now it works problem solved such a easy fix. i really thought it was making contact and that vamo was to blame...i was wrong... thank you.

Old and resolved post, but I just had the same problem with my Vamo V5. The Vamo V5 would turn on and work with the button top 18350s batteries but not the flat top 18650s. Both types of batteries work in my other Vamo V3, so I'm guessing it's a shoddy workmanship issue with the positive connection pin in the Vamo not protruding far enough.
