Researching for my first electronic cigarette.

Could someone please confirm or deny that the V4L Vapor King (vapor4life.com) is interchangable with the Premium PR110 (premiumecigarette.com)? In other words...can switch and swap the cartomizers, batteries and chargers. I read this elsewhere on the web but I wanted to be sure. I like characteristics of both vendors models.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Please don't make the mistake of ordering from this premiumecigarette.com place. There are tons of sites like this that markup the prices really high on standard e-cigarettes. That's not a good place to buy ANYTHING. The prices are almost double of what they should be.

Both sites sell the KR808D-1 model e-cigarette. Vapor4Life's KR808's have modified airholes for better airflow and the batteries have longer cutoff times. Use the code "SMILIN" at checkout for an extra 10% off(it might be 15 though)If you don't care about either of those functions, just buy a generic KR808 from a reputable place like litecigusa.net.

And here are some price examples for you:

Short, normal, XL KR808 Battery:
premiumecigarette.com - $24.95, $29.95, $29.95
vapor4life.com (modified) - $16.45, $16.45*, $17.50
litecigusa.net - $10.95, $10.95, $14.95

V4L also has unmodified KR808 batteries in normal size for $14.50.

V4L has a HUGE(120+flavor) selection of PREMIUM cartomizers that are much cheaper and perform better than the ones at premiumecigarette.com do.

Thanks keveck. You answered my question in a roundabout kind of way. They are interchangeable. They are both variations on the KR808D-1 if I am understanding you correctly. I can use a Premium battery with a V4L Cartomizer for example? A Premium charger will charge a Vapor King battery? This kind of thing.

The main thing that I noticed premiumecigarette has going for it is aesthetics, they have some interesting battery designs. I have little doubt from what I have read here over the last week that V4L sells a reputable functional product for a good price. That is not what I want to know. What I want is the ability to mix and match as I choose.

I appreciate the heads up on Premium. Do you know of know of a more reputable vendor of the KR808D-1 that has more choices to pick from? I'm not one to sacrifice function for looks...but both would be nice.

Adrockr - I can see why you want to buy from them - those batterys are really cool.

But do decals really make it work 3 times as much?

In my experience, there's usually only one reason a store will charge 3 times more than something's worth. And that is, to make up for the fact that they tend to lose customers due to either bad products or bad customer service, or both.

There's simply no reason for a good company to mark up their products by 300%. That's something that scammers do, so they can afford to stay in business even with no repeat customers.

The site even tells you the wrong model number, hoping you won't notice that it's a 35-dollar kit that they're charging you through the nose for.

I could understand if they were asking $50, $60, maybe $70. But $110? That's absurd.

You want a pretty battery?

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cosmetic-mods/92701-yay-nail-stickers.html

That'll cost you 5 bucks. Not $70 (which is the extra money you're going to paying for those pretty batteries).

Yep, yep, yep. Both are KR808D-1's and both are fully compatible with each other. Premium's USB charger is a bit finicky though. It's designed to work with KR808D-1 and KR808D-2 batteries and takes a bit to get it to charge properly(nothing rediculous though).

It's your money, spend it how you wish. I'm not going to judge your purchase whatsoever now that you know the facts. And most standard KR808's are white, black, or chrome...there isn't much variety from the company that makes them(Kanger). I do not know of any sites besides premium that offer that level of battery customization.

Adrockr....

I am new to the whole e-cig thing ... and I did order from Premium E-cigarette.com but I think that I will be switching to V4L from here on out. I was very happy to see that I will be able to use the batteries, chargers and cases that I did get. So that money won't go to waste, but I did spend more than I needed to.

I am about to place my 1st order with V4L .... just hoping that they get some of the things I am looking to add in stock before I complete the order. I would rather place a larger order than a smaller one, but that is me.

V4L seems to have so much more to offer and the customer service seems to be top notch from what I have read and I sent an e-mail to them, they responded very quickly.

It's a mistake to look at just prices. My premiumecigarette batteries are still going strong after 10 months. I've never had a V4L battery last longer then 3 months. It's more expensive to order from V4L.

The "Premium" was the first e-Cig I bought. I knew very little about the Alphabet Soup of model numbers and carto / carts. I know now that it is indeed a KR808D-1 and was more money than some KR808D-1 kits out there. That said, All of my batteries from “Premium” have out lasted every other e-Cig that I bought and there customer service is top notch.

I had an issue with one of the batteries, my error, and sent “Premium” and e-Mail. That same day I got a nice, form e-Mail saying that they were sorry and would replace the battery. I was somewhat confused as to exactly how they were going to do this until the two days later when a replacement battery arrived with pre-Paid postage back to “Premium” for the battery I ruined. Didn’t cost my a cent to return the battery.

Also their prefilled cartos are some of the best I’ve ever had. As good as blank ones filled with non-oem juice? No, but close and very vape-able.

So yes, they are more expensive but definitely not a scam in anyway. High quality batteries. Good OEM filled cartos. Excellent customer service. Some people like all of this from a one stop retailer and are willing to pay a little more.

I would recommend “Premium” to someone because they are a good vendor with a good product. But I would also mention that there are KR808D-1 kits out there that can be gotten for less money.

No problem...

I just like to see a Company that has a Good product and Great customer service get a bad name because they charge a little more than someone else.

In fact. I would rather see a newbie buy a starter kit from someone like "Primium" and have a good experience that get some crummy bargin basement kit and have a bad one.

Not knocking any vendor who sells KR808D-1 kits for less. But there is a lot of poor quality junk out there and sites that have bad customer service.

And e-Cig are cheaper than analogs, Right?

I had an issue with a V4L battery. I didn't like that the LED was off center. They sent me a new one that day, and I never had to return the old one. I didn't even ask for a replacement, they just sent me one. When I opened my package, I discovered an extra pack of 5 cartos was included.

Also, you could almost buy 2 batteries for the price of one at premium...

I am still using my original V4L batteries. It has been nearly nine months, and I am a heavy vaper so they've gotten a real workout. I don't know why yours are crapping out after 3 months.

It seems pretty obvious from the prices posted that V4L is cheaper than one of the other suppliers - the one the OP was asking about. If you order during one of V4L's frequent 20% off sales, you're paying the same as or less than the lower priced one, which makes V4L cheaper than both of the other companies. The sales are once or twice a month, so there's really no reason to order during a non-sale period unless you're not paying attention.

V4L is NOT more expensive and the batteries DO last longer than 3 months.

They're made from the same factory.

That's like saying you only buy your new cars at McMurry's Ford because you bought a new car from Ray's Ford once and had problems with it. It has nothing to do with the dealership (or store in this case). Kanger batteries are not the best quality batteries, but there's no way that a company could tell if the batteries were going to work for 1 month or 10 years. All they can do is test to make sure that they work when they ship them off.

I only have 2 v4l batteries and they both are still working great. I've only had them for a couple months, but I have no reason to believe that they'll stop working any time soon.

IIRC, Kimmy from this forum has 22 batteries from V4L, only 1 has stopped working. And some are up to 10 months old.

I'm so sorry for all the posts! I can't multi-quote from my phone!

I have heard Very good things about V4L.

A few horror stories but that is bound to happen. But all and all, Very good things. I haven't tried them but I hear that many of there pre-filled cartos are very good.

Give wowboy and wow peppermint a try! You won't be dissapointed. This is what sold me to being a KR8 user...it's what got me to put away the 510 for good.

I agree 100%. I should have also mentioned the cartos. They are very good. Never had a failure or thread issue like V4L's. If your interested in consistent quality I recommend premiumecigarettes highly. They are more cost effective in the long term over the lower cost models. My chargers, batteries (I have 4), and usb passthru all still work and it will be 11 months on the 22nd of this month.

edit: Keveck, all I know is what I experience. I've purchased 4 V4L batteries and none have made it past 3 months. They just stop working and just because something is made in the same factory doesn't mean anything I was in manufacturing for over 20 years and many different levels of quality can go into the same product depending on customer spec's. Not saying that that is the case here, but I do know the difference between 4 dead batteries and 4 good ones, Glad your having good luck with them, but I doubt if i'll order from them again.

actually it was stated a while ago and it slipped under the radar that the V4L batteries arent made by kanger anymore...

add to that that they're constantly changing their batteries so there's no consistency in them almost from one month to the next...

additionally the premium cartos....when they lowered the resistance on them..they had to change the batteries again to change the airflow to hopefully keep the carto cool and keep the filler from burning....unfortunately the lowered resistance also kills the batteries faster... hence why they now came out with the coolcarts...because people were making the switch to another company's cartos without the problems of the premiums

Whoa?...can you expand on that or link me to where you read it. I want to make sure my cartos match my batteries. I do not want the burning. When you say premium cartos do yo mean Premium the brand (premiumecigarette.com) or Premium the variety of cartridges at V4L?

I have no complaints about "Premium" with the exception that they cost a little more but that's not the worst thing in the world.

On my 1st order the AC adapter was missing, I sent an e-mail and it was shipped the next day. I have had a few problems with the cartomizers.... 1 DOA, 1 with no threads to screw it onto the battery and a few that just seemed to die rather quickly getting that burning taste. I don't necessarily blame "Premium" for that... I think (but I do not know for sure, since they were the only company I have tried so far) that you may find that happens with any cartomizers... ? lol.... if not someone let me know! :)

The batteries I have from them "Premium" seem to work great and I have no complaints with that so far... I also like the fact that they have custom batteries that I have yet to see elsewhere ... and they are not just a skin that is put over the battery.

I am going to try V4L .... I need juices & cartomizers that "Premium" does not have.

Over all... I am happy with there stuff... wish they offered more than 1 type of menthol though.
