So guys, am I like, a REAL vaper now?!?!

This thing is awesome. Big serious thank you to everyone who made recommendations and helped me decide. It’s perfect for MTL, isn’t spitting hot lava at me, and it’s kind of pretty, too.

Can I use 35mg nic salts in this? uwell Whirl 22 with 0.6 coils.

Everything went horribly wrong the last time I tried this on a different device so I want to make SURE before I try it. What say you lovely people?

From VaporDNA's website:

"Uwell presents the Whirl 22 AIO MTL Starter Kit, a portable device with simple one button interface, built-in 2ml tank, and a built in 1600 mAh battery. The Whirl 22 has a maximum output wattage of 25W and an atomizer resistance range of 0.5 to 0.7 ohm. The built-in tank has a capacity for 2ml of E-Liquid and can be top filled through the threaded top cap. The Whirl 22's built-in sub-ohm tank uses the Whirl Replacement Coils; these coils have a 0.6 ohm resistance and is best used from 18 to 22W......................................The Whirl 22 is an excellent solution for vapers who want the flexibility of MTL and DL vaping on the go.

By the way @jtbje - If you really like the kit, VaporDNA has them on sale for just $17.99 right now, in 6 different colors. If you sign up for their newsletter, they'll send you a 10% off coupon code to use, too. It's always good to have a back-up set-up that you like, too. :)

Then VaporDNA, ElegoMall, and many other vendors don't know what they're talking about....advertising it as a MTL starter kit??? ;)
Since when did SUB 0HM coils became mtl ?
Also .6 is my preffered resistance for any of my rebuildables, even my smok nord has a .6 0hm mesh coil in it and i'd never even think about mtl considering how much vapor it produces.
So sorry but no they have no idea just like when someone recommends a smok kit to a newbie imo is stupid.

Oh well guess logic went out the window these days ;)

PS: even the tip gives it away that it's far from being a dedicated mtl device lol. At best a restricted dtl.

It doesn't matter what it is if you like it.

Sub0hm coils with the right setup can still be vaped MTL-- I would not call a 0.6 coil the bleeding edge of sub0hm vaping either.

You nic may or may not be too high depending on how you are vaping it. Are you getting nic overload symptoms? That should tell you if your salts are too high on that setup-- for you.

Personally I wouldn't use a 35 mg nic in a tank like that. Also, whst makes a difference between mtl and dl isn't the resistance of over or below 1 ohm but the airflow of the tank. I can vape a 0.5 ohm build on an rda with lots of airflow and have a fine mildly restrictive DL vape (because I close the airflow down a bit). The reason higher resistance coils are generally associated with mtl is it's easier to maintain a low airflow without the coil overheating whereas with a low subohm build you usually need more airflow to keep the coil cool enough to not scorch the wick and give you a harsh hit.

If you're using a 0.6 ohm coil at around 20W you're likely getting a pretty restricted DL or looser mtl than other tanks. 35 mg of nic is likely too much as that setup you're using will vaporize more juice and deliver a higher volume of vapor with each draw. Those high nic salts are meant for pod systems that vaporize very little liquid so it's a way of getting enough nic in that little puff to be satisfying. The reason it's made into a salt is that even with the little vapor produced 25 mg of nic would likely be too harsh. The salt helps smoothen the vape so you can get away with delivering high nic concentrations.

Sure.

You can put just about Anything in that tank. Now will you like it? I dunno? Because there is Only One Way to find out.

I suggest you try it. But try it on a Weekend when you are at home for the day. And not right before you go out to Run Errands.

If the Whirl is doing what I think it is doing, Buck Voltage at 3.6v, a 0.6 Coil-Head would be at around 22 Watts. Not unheard of at 35mg/ml. But maybe not something you want for an All-Day-Vape. But something that might be Perfect to use for a couple of Strong Hits to beat back the Cravings for those last couple of Cigarettes.

If you like the Whirl, which it sounds like you do, I would use JCinFLA's suggestion in post #7 and pick up another one.

Then you would have a Complete Back up of something you like. And you could run that 35mg/ml Nic Salt in it and use it as a Craving Beater. Which using your 1st Whirl with you Day-to-Day e-Liquids.

BTW - Not sure how many Coil Heads you have right now for your Whirl? But if you are Still Liking everything after another day or so, I would pick up a couple of 5 Packs of Extra Coils.

Just ordered 2 refill packs. One at 0.6 ohm and one at 1.8 ohm. Not sure of the difference but I got one of each

I haven't tried it on this one and honestly my little pod system is working fine for salts, but I have 2 bottles of them so I wasn't sure if they were interchangeable. I'll probably stick with 6mg on the Whirl and use the Novo for 35mg salts. That seems to be working ok :)

Thank you! I've been using it to make sure I like it and it's working out to be pretty decent for me. I'll order another kit if it still agrees with me after the next few days.
