Recently got a black Crown tank, and love every single thing about it, except the stock coils are letting juice leak into the base. It's annoying. When tilted juice comes out of the air flow holes, and ooozes out from around the afc ring(70+vg juice). Nothing seems out of place or missing, so I'm confused. I've seen a few threads about the rba base leaking, but nothing about the coils. Does anyone have any advice on what the problem may be? Or did I just get a bad one? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

have you tried taking it apart cleaning everything in warm water? if this happens with more than 1 coil you may have a problem. I have heard that uwell has good customer service, I have not had to try them out myself. try doing a good cleaning and make sure that it threads in smoothly to the base. sory no other ideas. good luck

i've cleaned it multiple times. just did it a few minutes ago actually. i also have a regular silver crown tank and it performs perfectly. so i just put them side by side and think i may have figured something out. the o-ring on the bottom of the top cap is too big on the black tank. it's too large to fit down into the machined slot for it, so it has just been smashed a bit i suppose. compared it to the silver tank same o-ring and its slightly larger. gonna swap it out and see if that makes any difference. i'm assuming it has caused a vacuum issue...we shall see. i'll update this thread after a tank or two. thanks all!

Thanks to Cassiuscakes....I found another oring problem.

Where the coil meets the inside of the tank. My oring was missing. I added the oring that goes in the top cap (that connects the airtube) to the inside bottom where the coil meets the airtube.....ZERO leakage!!!!

So happy Cass did his/her investigating, because right after I read it, I took my crown out of the thrash.

Can some one tell me what places the o rings are situated?

I recently have a problem of sucking juice all the way up / in to the driptip.
So far I see no missing or bad o rings, drives me grazy.

Cleaned it out and after that it worked again fine for 1 day, but now after serval times cleaning the problem stays,
it't not the (o ring of) the driptip itselve, because i have the same problem with other driptips.

ugh, so i'm back with not one but two leaking crown tanks. my black one that i thought i had figured out, leaks after a few refills. and my silver one now leaks as well. for me, it's all because of the o-ring on the bottom side of the top cap that seals against the "chimney". after the tank is topfilled a few times, they get compressed and pop out of the machined area they are supposed to sit in. i've tried and tried to get these damn o-rings to sit back in that spot but its like they are all too large to even come close to fitting. i'm now out of replacement o-rings. it's not leaking between coil and base, it is actually flowing from the air inlet on the bottom of the coil into the base and oozing out of the air flow control. guess i need to get in touch with some customer service and see what they think i should do...

over tightening is almost impossible with the two crown tanks i have, the threads all seem to bottom out before you get a chance to actually over tighten them. the o-ring literally falls out of the top cap and stays laying on on the top of the tank when i remove the top cap. I've been at this a while now so i'm sure i'm not over tightening anything. its happening with two separate tanks...

glad to have this thread. i got a black one from subtanksupply a couple weeks ago. was so ...... the other day when i tried it for the first time and had trouble with it. by the next day half the juice was in the base coming out the air flow control holes...looked like it came from the bottom of coil head but not sure. tossed it in a bowl and went back to my rda figuring i'd deal with it later. after hearing nothing but good things i thought it had to be user error... but in searching for others with leaking..here they are! looks like i need to contact the vendor. thanks for saving me from tossing more cash in the trash!
