Using the loop technique to make spaced claptons w/swivels - wire snapping

I am making a stapled staggered fused clapton using 28g wrapped in spaced 36g using squidoods wire loop technique. and using swivels. However, the 28g keeps snapping every time I try to do it and its driving me crazy, as I don't have an rda which has large enough post holes for anything larger guage. Anyone got any idea how I can prevent this from hapenning?

Help would be GREATLY appreciated. It even happens with 24 guage...

you dont need to use a loop, you can cut a length of wire say 2inch length and pinch it along side the wire being claptoned, its the way i do it and you can use much thinner wire than 32g this way

no idea.. i usually do staggered fraples with 26g frame and never snapped on me using this technique. Maybe you're pulling too much tension with the loop?
