Usb Passthrough for eGo

I'm back again, for the second time! More medicated than ever and I can't seem to find a Usb Passthrough for the eGo that I am thinking about ordering. Went to a couple of sites that I had bookmarked and no luck. Searched the threads here but came up with a boatload of threads that looked like they wouldn't have what I was looking for in it.

So, I need to order a passthrough and I don't know where to get it! I'm thinking of ordering the eGo from Heaven-Gifts since I have ordered stuff from them before and their price on the eGo is really good. I could make another thread about that though.

Holy crap, $30? Is a "*Fast USB charger for eGo battery" the same thing as listed Joye eGo starter kit with 2 atomizers - Starter kits Heaven Gifts with that kit? I'm a little confused with the terminology nowadays!

The USB battery (exclusive to Janty so far IIRC) is just a regular ego battery 650mah with a USB port built onto the bottom. The port is covered by a small cap cover that screws on to hide the port. It can be used with a USB cord attached to a computer or outlet in a manner similar to a passthrough. The device can be used while it's charging or disconnected and used as a regular ego battery.

The USB fast charger is a high output USB dongle which is screwed onto the atty connection point and is used to fast charge an ego battery.

Word of advise - DO NOT plug the USB port in any other charger other than the recommended. I fried my USB port on my EGO doing that. Thank God the battery still charges normally.

Would it be possible to use a 510 usb passthrough with the eGo? I still have one of those laying around here somewhere if I can find it. Otherwise, I am going to have to get what Tinstar was talking about.

With a passthrough, you don't really use the eGo per se. As a matter of fact, if you wanted to really vape on the cheap, you could do it with a passthrough and a cartomizer. If you have a passthrough, you just plug in an atomizer and cart or drip tip, or a cartomizer, and it is powered by the USB port of your computer rather than the battery. To preserve my computer though, I did get an adapter so that my passthrough plugs into a regular electrical outlet rather than my laptop.

Was starting to wonder, can I use the 510 passthrough with the eGo?

Yes, just screw the atty and cart onto the 510 pass through. The only thing different is the battery. Atty and cart are the same.

Excellent! I just got the unit and I see that indeed the atty looks like it is the same as the 510 atty. I'm very happy to see that I am able to use the same passthrough that I had before. Thanks for confirming this! <3

If anyone else is interested in the Janty usb passthrough battery - I have one and LOVE it. No more futzing around with batteries (screwing/unscrewing/wiping down the batt & atty,etc) - in fact I haven't even seen or touched my atty in over a week (knocks HARD on wood) because I've been able to cycle through juices that complement each other (french toast to vanilla to pina colada to whatever) without once unscrewing the cone. I bought a stainless drip tip from goodprophets (love) and it's eased up the fussiness of the setup tremendously. It also lasts forever on a full charge - at least 10 hours for me.

Plus, it's just slick, and with the drip tip on top of the stainless design, pretty. The little piece that screws onto the bottom when you're not using the usb is machined beautifully, and in fact everything about this battery just feels like quality. For $30 you're getting the battery and charger - so if you're about to buy a few spare batteries, I really recommend going ahead and picking one up. I am SO glad I have mine.
