Just this last Summer I flew to Spain..Although, not Middle East, I ran into some issues, but not too many. I asked the Airline about e-cigarettes, they were allowed in the lobby down stairs, but not on the plane. Now, I've head of some people that had to put them in their suit case before they were off to the gate..I did not have this problem. I say just ask each airport about it. Probably a security guard or manager. That way you can know.
As for getting off the plane and into region..smoking on the street I got funny looks and tons of people asked me questions. Fascinated actually(because in no means did it look like a cigarette..a big hunky thing haha). I attempted to vape in a restaurant, the owner felt uncomfortable about it even though I had explained to him what it was. One of my cousins thought it looked like a bomb haha..that's when I started being more discrete. I ran into a police officer and asked him about it..he said that they weren't ever common in Spain, more so in Italy and Greece. I only found ONE other vaper when I was there. I only smoked in my house after the first two days.

I would take it but be very careful about using it in public. Someone here at ECF went to Turkey and vaped on the beach and had no problems- told the curious it was "an electronic water pipe".

Having said that, maybe take some super cheap types with you, and be prepared to throw them away.

A friend and his wife went to SG. What he did was bring 2 eGos and 2 SD Keychains. Juice he put in wife's cosmetic bag with fake printed labels- moisturizer, etc. Keychains went on his and her keychain. eGos went with laptop as did some Vivi Novas and cartos. Had no problems BUT he was very careful about where and when he vaped. I was also ready to mail him stuff if something happened.

Thanks, all. I'm going for 10 days for work and was only planning to vape in my hotel, but wanted to be sure I wouldn't get stopped at customs. That wouldn't make a terribly great impression!
Sounds like I should put my cartridges in my baggage and my batteries with my laptop since they may look like laser pointers and my juice with my cosmetics. I really do appreciate the advice!

So everyone knows, I had several 10m and 30m bottles of juice along with about 5 eGo batts, three or four atty/cartomizers -all in my carry on (briefcase) for every trip I listed.

Right through the airport(s) x-ray, and I emphasize *ports* (many layovers) and no questions asked.

Even on location, vaped like I was in the states- again, no problems. Only curiosity.

We are the army. We must fight the good fight, even internationally, with kindness, courtesy and information.

Pass it on...

Hi Kele,
May be I am late to reply, cause you are heading to Turkey in 10 days.
I am from Istanbul.
In Turkey e-cigarette and e-liquids are not allowed. We have some problems in customs. But you can pass the custom with your e-cigarette in your baggage I think. The custom generally concern with high amounts of products. A personal use set would not be noticed.
Good luck and have a nice trip!
