I ordered the starter kit two weeks ago because I was tired of all the fussing with tweezers, paper towels, flooded attys, frequent dripping, etc. Checkout was hassle free and it reached my door in four days from ordering. I also ordered a sample kit of four 5cc red label 18mg tobacco flavors (Marboro, Ruyan, Hilton, French Pipe) which I will refrain from discussing here. I will say that out of those the marboro was my fave as far as flavor and that I like the glass vials and the quality glass droppers. They threw in a red ball point pen with logos which was pretty neat.

I have to say that at first I was very impressed with the performance and ease of use. As far as eliminating the fuss I give it an 8 out of 10. You just load up a "tank" which is basically a plastic cart that you can load up with juice (leave ~1 cc empty), plug it in to the atty and you are ready to go.

Vapor production is on par with a 510. In fact it's the same device as an eGO/Tornado with the main difference being that the cone IS the atomizer. The batteries are interchangeable, so conceivably if you have a Tornado or eGO you could just buy the new cone atty and tank carts to save money.

Getting to the most important aspect to vaping to me: FLAVOR..well that is where it falls very short of my expectations. For the first few days I expected it to be a bit "factory-ish" and was willing to give it a few days to break in the atty. It did improve somewhat after three days. There is filler liquid in the atty so make sure you blow them out real good before using and twist up a paper towel to gently stuff in to the wick..the capillary action helps to drain liquid in the atty.

Since the forst week however, I have been having very inconsistent vaping sessions with the device. I have tried all my flavors and I just cant seem to achieve a consistent satisfying flavorful vape. I taste the plastic of the tank over the flavor of the juices. Then I might get poor vapor production, then I might get a dry or harsh flavorless throat hit.

There are simple techniques to improve the performance of the Tornado Tank such as rotating the tank to keep the hole in the tank clear, and then to take three or four "dry" short, sharp inhales without power. It does seem to improve the next several inhales. Thanks to igetcha69's video on youtube for the tutorial video for this tip.

The five sample pre-filled tank carts that came with the starter kit are tobacco flavors. I believe you can choose tobacco or menthol for this. It came with 2 "high", 2 "medium", and one "low". I tried one "high" on day three and did not expect too much from it, but it actually was *worse* than I expected. Not that it tasted bad...it was just so weak and flavorless to me. Also, the pre-filled tanks have a black mouth piece as opposed to the two blanks that came with it. I prefer the blanks as they are clear all the way to the mouth piece and you can more readily see how much liquid is remaining. I opened a second "high" pre-filled tank hoping it was a different flavor, but it was the same bland flavor, poor throat hit, and not very much vapor production. Well, my plan for the rest is to just empty them and keep them on hand for future use to re-fill with my own juices.

I have cleaned the attys regularly, maintained charged batteries, and still after two weeks I am not very satisfied with the tank system as far as flavor. I find myself reaching for my standard eGO and my 901 way too frequently.

If anyone has any tips to improve the flavor on this device please reply.

Overall, it is a great concept and eliminates 95% of the fuss with standard carts and direct dripping. It's very cool to be able to load up a cart and be good to go for the day if you are taking it out. My only issue is where is the FLAVOR? I am getting much more satisfaction from flavor, throat hit, and vapor production from the eGO and the DSE 901.

As of this writing I am 27 days analog free coinciding with my first vape on the eGo. I am at the point where I need the next level of PV device and hopefully that one will be the "one" I have been seeking. I am willing to spend good money on that one PV that delivers consistent VP, throat hit, and maximum flavor.

The Tornado tank system as of now has fallen short for me. I am sorry to say this as I generally do not take pleasure to post negatively on a company or a product.

Thanks for this review, I was just looking at this model and contemplated buying it.

Just to be clear, the tornado-T is a rebranded eGo-T. If you are unhappy with the tornado-T, you will also be unhappy with the eGo-T version too. And I am also not quite satisfied with the tank system as it is right now. Still searching for my sweet spot 11 months into my vaping experience... but I'm not smoking, so something is working.

j... but I'm not smoking, so something is working.

Have to concur there. Congrats on almost a year...

As far as the tank. I will reiterate. I really like the system but where's the TASTE? I might as well put unflavored 18mg juice in here because it's 50-50 if I will taste anything pleasant even when I get good vapor production and the right TH.

What kind of juice are you using? Do you have multiple atties and do they all lack flavor? I bought my eGo-T from CigNot and found a fair amount of variation in quality in atomizers. Of the two that came with my starter kit, one was basically dead (poor draw) and the other had good draw but no flavor. A third that I purchased separately works great, and I have a fourth on the way to see if it's just as good as the third. I've also found that lighter colored juices tend to do much better in the tanks for whatever reason.

I've been using the TW Tornado-T for about 3 weeks now. My only experience prior to this was an NJoy NPro for a week. Flavour wise my personal experience has been good. I've already tried a few flavours from a couple of sources and there is definitely a difference in quality. My favourite is currently TW menthol. It has a really nice 'minty' taste and feel.

There's a lot of discussion about throat hit and I think individual expectation will be based on how much you used to smoke and how you inhaled the smoke. TH is not that important to me personally.

I started vaping to get off tobacco while still getting my nicotine hit. I tried the Nicorette inhilator, but it tasted foul! The Tornado tank gives me plenty of flavour and is almost totally hassle free. The most important thing is I have not desired a cigarette since starting this and my wallet is already showing signs of weight gain!

I for one love the tank system, but still want to try the alternative but similar systems too. Just for comparison. At then end of the day, for me, the whole process has to be as easy as lighting a cigarette.

I'll echo the same observance as NIN with respect to inconsistency. Used the tank just shy of two weeks and found myself going back to dripping. I've recently been spending some time in the modders forum reading up on bottom-feed juice mods. Big Stu's mod looks to be a nice intro to see whether or not that's the route for me. NIN, you may want to read up on juice mods as they may be what you're looking for as well. HTH.

Tanks very much everyone. Yes, that was an un-intentional pun LOL.

I use a variety of juices that I am mostly satisfied with in other devices. Have mostly stuck with RMV,L-F,TW 18mg tobacco flavors. I also enjoy caramel and vanilla flavors. The peanut butter has been the most leasant savory food surprise I have tested from L-F. Spot on, but it can get a little too rich after awhile. Even *that* underwhelms me in the T.I suppose I could try a different atty for the T, but both of them from the starter kit perform the same.

I am always up for a new e-liquid brand though..so will be reading up on reviews and watching some GrimmGreen youtube vids.

Both of my starter kit atties were not satisfactory in one way or another. It was only after I bought a third, separate atty that I was finally satisfied with my T purchase. In fact that one atty was good enough that I've retired all of my old kr8 passthroughs and batteries and have vaped exclusively on my ego-T for the past nearly 2 weeks. As I mentioned before, I've got a fourth atty on the way (should arrive probably Tuesday or maybe Wednesday at the latest). I'm hoping it's just as good as the one I'm using now. I will feel much better about this tank stuff if I know that I have at least two good atties.

I received my Tornado Tank friday and I have to agree that the flavor is lacking. The pre-filled carts that came with the starter kit were disgusting! I emptied them and used my previous juice to refill them and the clear blanks that came with the kit.

I went to the TW Tornado Tank after using the 510. So, it was mainly for convenience from dripping and changing batteries. However, I still find that I have to change my batteries out 3-4x a day and I miss the taste of my juice.

Otherwise, I'm very happy with it.

The search continues ;)

Maybe it's the juice. I have had the tank system for a month now. I have compared the tank attys to the regular 510 atty and have not noticed any decline in flavor. The tank attys seem to be more resilient that the 510. They last longer and keep their strength longer. I use Johnson Creek juice. I am not a big fan of TW's juice line. I tried a sample pack from them and I thought the flavors were kind of harsh and foul in flavor. (TW fans don't get upset. It's just a matter of taste)

The VG/PG base has a lot to do with flavor. I have noticed in this year and a half of vaping that you can always taste the base in all flavors of juices. Each brand has a similiar flavor regarless of the flavoring.

Just my two cents, but I love this device.

I'd have to agree with the flavor issue, but that's it. I love TW's TOB flavor that comes in the kits and vapor consistency has been very dependable so far (been using these since they came out in January I think it was).Plus I drive military supply trucks wich means long hauls and no smoking, so the tank has been a godsend for me. I'm already very happy with the device, but if they would fix the issue with the muted flavor they will have a customer for life with me.
Not downing your review, just my experience with tornado-t.
