30g Ni200 is tricky to wick, but I love it. I get crazy long vape times from a build, but I agree about rewicking. It's time for a new build when it's time to rewick.

There are many people who won't use anything at all but SS 430. I like it too. :)
.
I got rid of my ni200, but I've kept my titanium. I'll build with that from time to time. Ss430 should be more stable than 304 and 316, but I have so much of the latter two that I won't buy any new wire for a while. How is ss430 to work with, compared to Kanthal?

I haven't compared the two, and I haven't noticed a difference between the SS wires... but I haven't tried them back to back, either.
difference b/t SS316, 316L and 340?
I'm pretty sure it's a Purity thing, with this order (looking only at the SS wires)...

... with 304 being the least pure and 430 being the most. This is why I said to go for 316L.

They're different alloys but it's not purity. Stainless steel isn't an element like titanium or nickel. Some differences between 316 and 430 (wikipedia):

316 is austentic, 430 isn't (whatever that means), it's martensic and ferritic and has a lower corrosion and temperature resistance than 304 and 316.
316 has 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel, 0.08% carbon, 2% manganese, 2-3% molybdenum etc (316L has less carbon).
430 has 16-18% chromium, less than 1% nickel 0.12% carbon, less than 1% manganese. Basically it doesn't contain nickel or molybdenum (the less than 1% probably indicates that trace amounts are present).

SS 316 = Austentic = Austenite, also known as gamma-phase iron (γ-Fe), is a metallic, non-magnetic allotrope of iron or a solid solution of iron, with an alloying element.

SS 430 = Martensic and Ferritic = an alloy very hard steel and iron.

Martensic = Martensite, named after the German metallurgist Adolf Martens (1850–1914), most commonly refers to a very hard form of steel crystalline structure, but it can also refer to any crystal structure.

Ferritic = Ferrite, also known as α-ferrite (α-Fe) or alpha iron, is a solid solution of limited amounts of carbon in iron with a body-centered cubic (B.C.C) crystal structure.
So it appears that people like SS 430 over 316 because of less Nickel. We are already used to Iron and Chromium in Kanthal.

Kanthal alloys consist of mainly iron (62.5%-76%), chromium (20–30%) and aluminium (4–7.5 %). Kanthal is iron-chromium-aluminium, or FeCrAl alloy.

Did a quad clapton (32/26) 2.5IAD, 8wraps on the G4 deck, came out to about 0.25ohms. Initially tried a 3.0mm IAD but couldn't get the chimney to fight without shorting.

First try with wicking resulted in major leakage (following this review). Probably not enough cotton and it was hard to gauge exactly how much cotton was needed to hit the bottom of the build deck.

Second try with wicking I did the Moonshot method where you press fit over the deck cover and then trim the cotton to where the cover sits and then stuff them in. Resulted in slight leakage, but after a few draws it was fine.

Honestly, I don't like the vape with a quad build. Flavor is semi-muted, vapor wasn't as much as expected, slow ramp up time at 70W (gets extremely hot at 80W+ after a 3 second draw).

IMHO not worth the trouble to do a quad build, especially since the deck isn't built into the bottom piece it was almost impossible to dry burn the coils once you have all 4 in. If you're doing quad coil its probably best to dry burn the bottom 2 first then install the top 2.

Going to try the dual coil when I have time but honestly this thing will probably just sit on the shelf unless its dual coil build is better than the RTAs I have out right now. Bought this to mess around with a quad build, my first ever, def not a daily vape but was worth the try.

Got my tornado in the mail today. The build deck is not secured to the bottom so you have to secure it like you do with the moonshot via allen key.
I got mine too. Your Allen Key note helped me figure out what to do by seeing what you meant. Since I needed the Allen Key for the Post Screws, I used a 1/16" Drill Bit and locked it in place with the Airflow Ring. I built the T6 Deck with six 2.88Ω coils of 29g Kanthal, as in my example. I was going for 0.48Ω and it reads at 0.46Ω, so I was pretty close.

My camera really sucks, so I'll probably make a video instead of taking pictures. I built it one coil at a time, starting on the bottom. Mounted a coil, locked it in place with the Post Screws, positioned it, and then bent the leads at 90° to the outside so I could loosen the screws to mount the second coil for those screws. Did so and trimmed away the excess from that set. Then repeated with the middle set, then the top set.

Like you, I tried 3mm ID but could not make it fit, so I straightened the wires and rewrapped at 2.0mm ID (to be sure it fit). I didn't find it all that hard with this procedure, but I have not wicked it yet. I'll do that on video later.

I was wondering how well the airflow would make it to the upper coils. My bottom two are stacked directly over the air hole, but the top one is inset a bit, hoping to get air to it better up there. Maybe that would help your Quad build.

I'm going for the T6 Deck first because I bought the Nasy Mod for it. :D I wanted to test the Tornado at its 300 Watt claim.

All I can say is, there went a better part of a whole day that I won't get back. It was an abysmal failure, flooding onto and ruining the paint on my brand new mod. I'm done. I took pictures, but there's no point in showing the build that flooded so badly. Not a single vape from 5ml of juice.

Better luck to anyone else.

ive got some pictures of a quad coil but didn't attempt the sextuple.

How did you wick your coils? I initially followed that YouTube live look but had flooding.

If you have a moonshot I wicked it exactly how like it. Fit over the deck cover over the cotton as much as possible then cut the cotton where the deck is. Stuff them in the 4 wick channels.

A slight leakage on first fI'll but none after. I even let it sit overnight on its side, no leakage.

It doesn't Vape as well as single or dual coil. Hot Vape, similar vapor as a dual, similar flavor as a dual but a damn battery killer. Other than bragging about how you Vape on a quad or sextuple coil I don't see a point of this. Ofc this is my vaping preference.

The tank looks nice on a black mod tho.

I don't have a Moonshot. I'm not going to study the Moonshot to try this build again. I have asked IJOY to release a full detail video about how to build it properly.
