I received my Tornado today. I screwed the adapter into the standard 510 charger that came with the kit and charged the first battery - no problem.

I removed the first battery when the light turned green and screwed the other battery to the adapter (which remained in the charger when I removed the first charged battery).

I realized the battery has been on the charger for over 4 hours and the light is still red. I unscrewed the battery from the adapter to check and see if something was wrong.

First, I noticed that when I turned it slightly to start unscrewing it, the light turned green. ??? So, I removed the battery and tried to unscrew the adapter. It's totally stuck inside the charger.

I am not heavy handed - I didn't screw it in too tight when I first put it in the charger... It charged the first battery - the light turned green.

I am not sure if the second battery received a full charge. I don't know why the adapter is stuck in the charger.

I don't want to force it - or use something to apply more force to try to remove it from the charger because I just don't know what is wrong...

Any suggestions? What could have happened? After 4+ hours, the battery should be charged... but the charger is still showing the red light.

The adapter is completely stuck inside the charger.

Help please.... I am loving this thing and I don't want to have to make a complaint or send anything back :(

Thanks!

thanks magus - I'll try that now - I have the pliers...
The sharp pointed knife - not sure how I would do that other than sliding it next to the adapter inside where it screws in to the charger - I'll give that a go too

Thanks!!

Edit: Oh gosh, thank you so much! The needle nose pliers worked, effortlessly - thank you!!

yeah , I started to use the normal 510 charger for the tornado..took like 5 1/2 hours to charge a flat battery.

ridiculous amount of time, so i bought the usb fast charger..done in 1 1/2 hours ..well worth the investment for one of those.

I had no probs with the charge adaptor tho. is it the threads binding or is it a tight fit in the chargers plastic housing ?

Had a friend who had a standard 510 battery stick in their charger the same way. No way that sucker was coming out (it was galled/seized) and when they tried to force it they broke one of the internal wires in the charger (that attached to the battery connector).

I cut the thing apart, got the battery off, and repaired the broken wire. Sure was ugly after that.. but it worked.

I am not sure what the problem was. After I was able to remove the adapter from the charger, nothing was stripped, nothing was seized... I've been able to charge both batteries and the adapter is no longer getting stuck inside the charger.

I totally agree about the dedicated rapid charger and I'll probably be buying one next paycheck.

It does take a very long time to charge these batteries (especially being used to charging my standard 510 batteries in 45 minutes because I rotated them so often) - Good news is though - I seem to be getting easily 8 hours on one battery with no decline in performance. So, I'm able to vape for a lot longer than it's taking the other battery to charge.

I did have another weird thing happen earlier - the button got stuck in the "on" position after I took a draw ... and at first I was surprised... then quickly took it apart and disconnected it from the atomizer.

It happened 3 times... so I swapped it out for the charged battery. I pushed the button and held it in a few times, trying to make it get stuck again. I played around with pushing it quickly - I am not sure if it was something random... or if there really is a problem with that battery.

When it's fully charged again Ill give it another go. If it gets stuck like that again, I won't hesitate to contact TW and exchange it.
