Do you ever stick to one specific rda or mod because you got so used to it and love it's performance, causing you not want to use others for a while?

I have this experience with my Auth. Velocity V2 rda. It was my third atti after the Wismec Indestructible and the Twisted Messes. After I got my Velocity, I got the Sapor V2 25mm, the Hatty, and the Tsunami 24. Now I cannot use any other rda other than the Velocity V2. I love the endless airflow, the simplicity, and the clouds I get. I can only see myself getting something new if my Velocity breaks or something like that. If I do get something new I'd have to spend lots of money because I like buying authentics.

Does anyone have that same experience where you get so connected to your setup that you just can't change?

That changes...sometimes daily...sometimes weekly...or even monthly...maybe later yearly...

I let it flow as it wants. Ommm...

Yes, for a while....then some new atty hits the scene and everyting changes...and then I cant go back to that old favorite.

As stated above...go with the flow.

You are right that as stated I got to go with the flow, just that it's hard to see that far now. I don't like clones but I was thinking of ordering like 4-5 clones of the best RDAs nowadays from FastTech. It just is an annoying thing that it takes so long to receive what you order from them.

Usually takes about 9 days from China to Southern California if the item is listed as "in stock" and the order is over $20 total.
Free shipping.

The last time I ordered from a US modder it took them 3 days to ship a $120 mod that was "in stock" and another 3 days to get here.
I paid extra for priority shipping.

Perspective.

I have a few faves. Was on a Goon kick for a few months. Sapor v2 25mm for a few months. Just recently went back to a device I used for a year, the Alliance V1. Love this simple RDA. I have a Kryten I have hardly touched. Whatever keeps me from smoking!

Have a few RTA's I want to like but they get zero airplay.

If you like it nothing else really matters.

Just like @sketchness says, I myself was on the Goon kick with my copper tube mech after my Buddha phase. I then got the Mason 27mm and absolute loved it and still do and didn't see in the near future me changing. Then I saw the IJoy combo RDTA. Not a fan of tanks but figured I'd give it a try and oh my how I love this thing. I had to go back to the Mason for a bit cause I dropped the glass and, well of course it shattered into a million pieces so I have a set of extra glasses coming from China. Until they get here I'm back with the Mason. Own I do have like 8-10 other RDA's and a tank to use (other tank being the TFV8) but I went back to my Mason. Taste in certain devices change from time to time so as everyone has been saying, go with the flow.

Question, what is the reason that you don't like clones? I myself like an authentic but if the clones are the same thing as the authentic and work exactly the same and can "usually" not able to tell the difference why pay more for the same thing? I would understand if it were something like food (generic vs name brand) but it's an atty. Works the same and not able to tell a difference or at least much of a difference in some things.

I use what ever is my favorite and everything else gets neglected. For me that's a pico and sv rda clone. I have been able to improve the SV with a particular drip tip, slip ring and better temp control builds. The pico is improved with Arctic Fox firmware, which is helping improve builds and fire them more intelligently. I've avoided buying things just to see if they might be better. With government restrictions and taxes threatening I' buying some extra picos and SV's, not random stuff that I know won't make the cut.

All I can say is, over the past couple years, I've become a lot more selective in what I buy. I use mechanical squonkers only (REOs), with the exception of a couple high end units. I know what will work well on them, and what won't. So, I only use 3 or 4 bf attys regularly. I used to jump on every new atty that came out, that could be modded to bottom feed, if it wasn't bf out of the box. Not so much anymore. I'm satisfied with what I have. If I never buy another thing, I have the perfect vape for my needs.

The only tank I use is the Sub Tank Mini. Vaping NET's, almost exclusively, I need to dry burn and re-wick after each tank. With the STM I simply replace the RBA (got about 50), refill the tank and I'm good to go. I dry burn, clean and re-wick the *used* ones when I get some spare time.

I do have a few other tanks that I've tried, and admit that the flavor is a little better than the STM. Maybe when I retire and have a little more time. Nah, then I'll be too busy fishing. ;)
