Well I will share what I find to be good, as a newbie DIYer. Flavor art Virginia, burley, and dark vapor are what I have tried so far. Not saying they are the best, but i find them very good at 3-6% mixed with 2-3% nut or sweet of your choice I am using hazelnut right now and it's really a good flavor. I also add 2% vape wizard. I get those from liberty flights. They smell really strong in bottle but don't worry. A day or 2 or more steeping does well with these.

You might like to try VZ's ( Vaping Zone ) high concentrate PGA ( pure grain alcohol ) tobacco flavors. They also have Hangsen TB concentrates. ECx ( E-cig Express ) also has Hangsen.

I agree with JeremyR, FA's ( Flavor Art ) Burley is quite good.

You have a whole new world of TB flavors to work with. As a newbie I would go with TFA ( the Flavor Apprentice ) or WL ( Wizard Labs ) Double RY4. This tobacco flavor is universally loved by vapers. Start off with 5% DRY4 and 2 drops of ACV ( Apple Cider Vinegar ) per 5mls. of base liquid. You can adjust the percentage of DRY4 to your liking. Also this tobacco flavor definitely improves with age so some steeping helps a lot. You can start adding different flavors for more complex recipes as you gain experience. Also a juice calculator is a must have. The e-juice me up calc is the most popular and it's free! Just use the search function up top to find it and your on your way.

FW Coumarin Pipe tobacco is good and FW Tobacco Flavoring(that's the name of the flavor) along with PA M-Type Tobacco. The last one is more on the expensive side at $12.95 for a 30ml bottle.I also agree with the first poster in adding hazlenut to a tobacco,i use it along with some tobacco's i have too. Also before i forget,TobaccoExpress 555 is a good vape too and highly concentrated so you need to start out low i tend to start it at 1/2%-1%,go up from there if the flavor is not strong enough for you. There are still a few sweet flavors you can use if you wish(marshmallow, whipped cream, vienna cream, custard etc...)for an added sweet flavor in the TB blend.

Wizard labs is my favorite place to get flavorings. Only downside is that since they moved locations, they've been a little slow and out of stock. (not sure if they had the stock issues before they moved, as I'm a recent buyer)
My favorite tobacco flavorings are (all purchased at Wizard Labs): RY4 double (TPA), Captain Black (Seedman's), Black Honey (TPA), RY4 (original) (TPA), and Commerical Tobacco (TPA)
In my experience and vape preference, the RY4 double, Captain Black and Black Honey can be vaped right away, while the others are best when they are steeped.

The dark vapor is a very strong tobacco flavor I guess like a cigar, It's good though. I have been wanting the royal tobacco, I hear it's like hotel. I'm also intersted in the perfumers apprentice m-type.. I think the vape wizard plays a large role In my flavors turning out so well. I highly recommend it..
