Just to negate some of the info about titanium being "binding" or requiring special machining - false. Stainless steel is essentially lubricated by nickel - now, a quality titanium doesn't have this - it is essentially a "dry" thread. Trust me - take a very well machined, tight tolerance threaded piece of titanium - it will BIND horribly - every single time if the threads are dirty (at all). It isn't really a bad thing though - it is normal to thread titanium to a slightly looser standard knowing that it is a "dry" thread - however - it isn't rocket science. Best bet for titanium - keep it clean..but...a very slight lube of nolox or Vaseline will keep you smiling.
