Love my 357 atties, but I would never suggest a $22 atty for learning how to drip.…I have several simple old 510's that are well over a year old, they last just fine ... after you learn how to use them.
My favorite dripping atty is actually a random LR 901 that I got a while ago and use with a sealed adapter. It leaks a bit, but it works really well. I've been using it since june, I think.
I've never used alcohol on my Vivi Novas, and I don't have any problem with lingering flavors.
A good water rinse and dry burning with this technique works wonders. It brings them back to just-broken-in performance, and they last for months.
