Open draw - just inhale through your lips ; Tight draw - straw in milkshake
These are extreme examples and not all atties will provide this entire range of adjustability.
Flavor enhancement can be achieved thru a wide variety of factors including the draw/airflow of an atty/coil setup but is not the only and/or best way to achieve it.

What tank are you using on the iStick? The type of tank and its coil are the important part of the equation in getting a vape you like such as flavor. The mod, with the battery, merely supplies power to the tank, and typically doesn't have much of an effect on the quality of your vape so long as it supplies sufficient power for what you're doing.

Open or loose draw is with airflow all the way open.

It's really personal preference, For me, I find an open airy draw to have less flavor...I like a tighter draw...but that just my preference.

Honestly, with the GS Air tank that comes with the istick basic, there won't be that much difference. The airflow ring on that tank is a bit sloppy and the tank sits down in that well which kind of restricts the airflow anyway.

Forgive me, I'm so new to vaping. What is the difference between tight and open draw? Is open draw when the airflow part is all the way open?

When you take a drag and feel a lot of resistance that's a tight draw. When the resistance is slight and it's easy to draw quickly that's an open draw. Some atomizers with the airflow all the way open are still tight and some are really open.

Which one produces more flavor?

It depends on the atomizer. Generally, tight draw atties tend to get their best flavor at lower power and open draw atties at higher power. Which style makes the best flavor is a personal thing.

I have an iStick basic so any additional information would be awesome!

I've never used this one so I'll leave it for the folks that know it to comment, but I suspect it's on the tighter side as far as draw goes. I'm curious how people's experience with flavor with this one is.

For me, as a General rule, a More Restrictive Draw (Tighter) tends to give me More Flavor. Whereas a Less Restrictive Draw (Open) tends to give me Less Flavor.

But there is a Limit as how much Restriction I can use. Because if I Don't give a coil enough Air Flow (by restricting the Draw too much) the coil can run Too Hot. Then the Hit starts to Taste Burnt.

Although I agree with the restricted A/F giving more or better flavor I must say that with the recent addition of tanks like the Baby Beast and Melo II Minis I am totally amazed at the flavor I get out of them with large air flow. Like they say you learn something new everyday and I have also found that less power can result in more flavor as long as it is not too low. Sweet spot for one may not be for everybody.
