I've been sampling differnt strengths (12mg, 18mg, 24mg), flavors and vendors over the last 2 weeks on a SLB KGO (1100mah) using some Boge LR 2.0 cartomizers.

HighBrow Vapors
Dark City Vapors
Vaperite
Virgin Vapors

and I've found that I can only get a good throat hit from 24mg. I would prefer to smoke a lower mg nicotine but the throat hit is almost the most important factor for me. So my question is if a throat hit for me is attainable with a 18mg liquid? Another thing to note is that all of the liquids I am sampling are either 70/30 or 80/20.

I know that an effect like TH varys from person to person but I'm wondering if there are certain flavors, vendors, etc. that might help improve the TH on a 18MG liquid.

Thanks for the advice!

Some vendors have better throat hit than others, that is true. One of my fav vendors for good throat hit that is not harsh is Quick Nic. They have some delicious juice flavors too. I highly recommend Banana Cream, Watermelon Rancher & Enigma. I am not into the tobacco flavors so I can't say about those, but a lot of people like their tobacco flavors too.

Why not just vape the 24? 18mg isn't going to do anything special for you and you'll probably end up vaping more if you lower the nic. That's what happened when I did. I vape 24 but I don't vape a lot.

I gotta think you can make your batteries last longer using higher nic. cartridges.
Depends on the user and how much of their habit is compulsion/mental vs. just simply needing a nicotine fix here and there.
High strength is great for when you're at work and don't have a lot of time to smoke.
Low strength is good for delicious flavors that you want to just chain vape at home in the evenings. Battery longevity being less of a concern in this circumstance also.
Anyway, that's my take on nic. content and usage rates.

You don't say what gear you are using and this can have a significant effect on TH.

A lower resistance carto - dual coil for example - at higher voltage than the usual 3.7v, will give a 'hotter' vape with greater throat hit.

I use 24mg, 70/30 juice in dual-coils at around 4.2V - seems to get harsher as the day goes on.

Eddie,

Thanks for bringing that up...I modified my post and accidentaly cut out the line that I included my model but have added it back. I should have also listed what carts I was using.

Thanks everyone for your replies! Each one gave me something to think about and made good points. During the day I do only smoke 2-3 times at work and am after a hard hit durin those times vs. evening slow and easy vaping.

The point about higher m less vaping vs. lower mg more vape is a good one. I'm going to stick with 24 for now.

Thanks everyone for the knowledge and support.
