Very wise post I think Angela! :)
Thank you! :)
Hi Angela, Are you using the Evo?
Yes, I am.

PS: As both glycerine and menthol are used for cold remedies, and so are inhilations, I thought "I wonder......", so I made up a batch of 50% commercial PG with 50% VG and added menthol crystals (Quite a strong menthol solution).... and it works! Soothes the throat and opens up the sinuses a treat! 8-o

Thanks for all the responses. Just an update. Last night I diluted my pg based e liquid with glycerine. I can definitely tell a big difference. I took about 10 puffs on it and my throat did not feel tight afterword. When I was using it undiluted I would feel my throat getting tight and feeling like it was going to close up after just a few puffs. So I think I will just dilute all my e liquid. I shoud be getting my shipment from johnson creek soon. I feel alot better. For a minute I thought I wasn't going to be able to vape and end up going back to analogs.

Hey guys I am new to this and my mini should be here friday.... I am a little confused here what do you mean when you say pg, jc or vg? Any suggestions I should know about for first time vapping.. Thanks-

PG is short for Propylene Glycol and VG is Vegetable Glycerine. They are used as a base in our e-liquid. There is quite a bit of info on this forum about both of them.

And JC is short for Johnson Creek. They sell VG based e-liquid (as well as PG) for people who are allergic or sensitive to PG.

Following Angela's advice re menthol chrystals I nipped down to the chemist today. When I was there I noticed Vocalzone pastilles beside the counter. A guy I knew who sang in a band swore by them. So I picked up a pack and sucked one on the way home.

I had a quick vape and all was well. So either my throat is getting better or the Vocalzone is working. It says on the blurb "Vocalzone throat pastille is recommended for relief of irritations due to excessive speaking, singing or smoking. Aid in soothing dry irritated throats, which so often accompany the common cold."

Maybe worth a try for all out there who have a bit of a rough throat.

One thing tho on the Menthol B.P. chrystals I picked up it says on the pack "for external use only" "irritating to the respiratory system" but the whole point of menthol chrystals is to create a vapour to inhale??? kinda contradictory??

Angela did it say that stuff on your Menthol pack?

Amanda sry for hijacking your thread - try the Vocalzone they really helped me.

Can't recall now and I've thrown away the packaging so I can't check, but I'm guessing that they mean that you shouldn't be ingesting the crystals.... which should make sense, and yes, whilst it is great in smaller doses, in larger doses in can be an irritant to the throat: just about the same as anything in this world - everything in moderation: anything in excess is bad for you.
