Testing coils with multimeter

I usually put a coil on my atomizer base, and then put a probe on each post. I also touch the probes against each other to get the reading on the probes themselves. Finally, I subtract the reading from the probes from the reading on the coil/atomizer. There's the resistance. Takes longer to type out than it does to actually do.
I would actually recommend buying a new one that is actually designed for checking ohms for 510/ego connections. It is hard to constant read on a multi meter, I tried using a digital one and it only read to the tenth ie: 0.0. If you're building low the hundredth number read can mean the difference for safety as the meter will round up or down. Using analog meter would be even harder to get an accurate read.
I don't think a run of the mill analog meter is going to be accurate enough,even in the 1 to 2 ohm range.
A digital multimeter is always recommended in these cases. They are far more accurate than an analog one would.

As was said ^^ an analog meter will not be accurate enough. You need something that will read out to the 100's.

Unless its a Fluke which is the only was to go with a DMM. I also question the 520 meters being accurate to +- a tenth of an ohm.
