So I got the invader 3 thinking it'd be pretty easy calculating the ohms but I don't have no clue what's going on... Would like to know how or what setting to put it on at least So the thing don't blow up on me..I've got the TFV8 cloud beast on there with the rda inside& using the brown imr 18650 3000 mah 3.7V battery's. Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome,
Tell us about your build.
wire material?
resistance?
type and number of coils?
wraps per coil?
Inner diameter of coil?

Cheers

I'm not sure what wire material its the one that came then my rda for my tfv8, 7 wraps it's looks to be & 0.15 ohms I think (could be wrong I don't know much about vaping) 2 wraps per coil an idk what the inner diameter would be

Hi and welcome. You invader is a regulated mod, so the idea is the mod worries about resistance for you. It is, unfortunately, still possible to get into trouble if you use low discharge rate batteries with a high watt setting. Still worse, "Brown IMR 3000mAh" batteries doesn't tell me much. They might be LG HE4s-- those are good ones-- or not. Can you post a pic of the writing and codes on the side of the battery, or copy it down for me? That should help me determine what cell you have. For right now, if we assume the 3000mAh rating is correct, they are unlikely to be rated more than 20A. A good rule f thumb with regulated mods is 60 watts per 20A battery. Keep your invader under 120 watts and you should be fine.

Sorry LGDBHG21865*
Those are LG HG2 batteries which our resident battery expert @Mooch rates at 18 amps, see his chart below. They are really good cells; I use them myself. Keep your Invader set to 100 watts or below and you'll be fine.

What would a 100 watts be ? Considering there's no screen on the invader 3

Use the potentiometer to adjust power. It's the round dial, in front, under the power button, on the bottom.

Assuming you're correct about the resistance being .15, then 3.87 volts. That can be tested at the 510 with a multimeter.
