Hi guys,

I started vaping about a month ago on an iTaste VV V3 + Kangertank Protank 3. Within 2 weeks and was ready for an upgrade. I bought the GP Paps Clone by Vapetech (running in 18350 mode on the Efest 3.7V 800mAh battery) + Terminator-C RBA, simply because I wanted to try it out before I buy the real thing.

The coil and wick were set up in store all ready for me to vape on. The guy at the store advised me to use a 1 ohm ready-made coil (which after connecting it onto the iTaste shows me a 1.1 / 1.2 ohm reading). After a couple of hours I was getting burnt taste, gurgling and flooding issues. I've gone through 4 coils within 5 days, a few different wicks, almost 1 and a half bottles of juice and a full roll of tissue!

There is an airflow control on the Terminator (by twisting the centre post that works as the tip), that helps with the burning taste for a bit but then the flooding is back. I can't go more than 10-15 vapes without it flooding or gurgling. Since the rba doesn't sit flush on the paps, the juice is also flooding straight through the 510 connection into the pin section.

On my iTaste V3 + Protank, I have a 2 ohm coil running and I set my wattage on 8W for my sweet vaping. But on this, I am running it at around 11.4W (3.7V battery on a 1.2 ohm coil) - Is that reasonable?

Anyone able to advise me would be much appreciated!

I am confused. If you have set your watts on the itasteVV to 8, that's what you are getting.
If you put a 1.2ohm atomizer on your Paps with a fresh battery (which will be around 4.1v), you are vaping at 14 watts. It might burn, it might not. I have a 14 watt set-up, it's fine.

Welcome to the forum! As far as air flow goes, I posted this yesterday. [cannot re-post the link here as a new member] He talks about air flow, flooding, draw, heads and devices. I found it interesting.

Good luck and Happy Vaping!! :vapor:

Hi Simply Red, thanks for the welcome! That video link is very interesting indeed. I was vaping on a tight draw. I've twisted the centre post about half a turn, will let you guys know how that goes. It seems OK for now. I'm yet to understand the whole vacuum side of things with these atomisers to be quite honest.

Thanks for your reply djsvapour, I might try a 1.5 - 1.7 ohm coil and see how that goes for me. By the way I've got my coil reading mixed up. I was meant to say that the Protank 3 is running a 2 ohm coil. Sorry.
