damn, I did go too hot by my first ss coil, by accident, idk the spaced coil somehow shorted and a small segment heated up rapidly, but it didnt change colour as described.

I did use the coil after that for a while....

I wouldn't be too worried about it.

I've been doing this for a Long Time, and have read Dozens and Dozens of Studies. And I have have never seen a Reputable Study that showed detectable amounts of Cr(VI) (or any other Chromium Oxides) in an e-liquid caused by a Dry Burned Coil.

I read something similar, that it would pose a real threat, you'd have to vape at the given temperature at which it starts releasing those toxins, wich would mean your wick would be dry and burning.

Exactly... If you could somehow Vape at those Dry Burn Temperatures, then Absolutely it would be a Hazard. That is why Welders are at risk to Oxide Ingestion. Because they breath in Welding Fumes on more than desirable amount of time.

JAFYI - One Study I saw noted that the amount of Cr(VI) emitted from Dry Burning a Coil was Equivalent to Smoking 3 or 4 Cigarettes!

I Had to Laugh. Seeing that before started vaping, I was smoking 20 to 30 Cigarettes a Day, EVERYDAY. To Dry Burning maybe Once a Week. And Not Inhaling the Fumes when I do.

LOL
