there is something called a "Bridgeless atty" its basically a coil under a small metal wedge that is good for about 3- 5 hits, kinda looks like a Blu Cartridge without the wick...
With the threaded extrusion at the bottom, it looks like it attaches to something. Not a complete device. Where is the battery? What does it attach to?
The screw-looking part on the bottom is where the atomizer connects to the battery or mod. Is that what you're asking about?

What device do you use to vape?
(I thought there was a DIY discussion section but I'm not finding it.)
How are other DIY-ers taste testing experimental recipes? Empty and clean the device, then fill it and have to use the whole tank for a couple of tastes? Then pour it back into the original bottle you mixed it in and do what with the coil and cotton, which are saturated with the recipe? There must be a better way? No?
Thanks for the new acronym!Don't fill the tank, just put in 15 drops or so.
Using an AIO limits your options.
An "ego" battery and the 510 Bridgeless atty at the top of the page may be a cheap option.

When you say use 15 drops or so, you mean in the small refillables?

If I understand right I could take a:
Bridgeless 510 Atomizer | SmokTek.com
and pair it with a:
SmokTek Twist Variable Voltage 650mAh eGo Battery - Same as Vision Spinner | SmokTek.com
and one of these:
eGo USB Charger - 420mah | SmokTek.com
For a total of less than $30 and have a device that has no wick (?) that I can use to test a few drops of e-liquid at a time? Without any residual flavor creeping out of a previously-used coil/wick?
Anything else (or spare parts) that I would need?
