I like the 'lighter' vape tanks (15-30 watts) but use drippers for higher power and squonking for fun.
Your choice will depend on power. I haven't got a Kayfun v5 much over 18 watts yet. I've had a Subtank RBA over 20 and people say the Uwell is just another subtank using the RBA but my friends seem to manage 35 watts.

Serpent mini all the way! That thing is a beast for flavour. I use 28g Clapton in mine about 5 wraps I think, 40w Comes out at 0.6 and the flavour is amazing!! Yeah the tank is small, but that means you can switch out juice. It's easy to build on and wick etc. I've got the crown rba and personally I think it's useless. Especially when compared to the crown stock coils. The rba just doesn't wick fast enough. Definitely try the serpent mini, you won't regret it.

I like the griffin and the goblin for .4-.6 ohm builds, and I'm one of the few that like the Fogger V4.1 for the .7 ohm builds.
You'll find a lot of personal preferences with that question. I'll list some features tanks have... I'd suggest you pick three.
Flavor or Vapor (pick one), Top airflow (less leaking at the base), heat preference, juice capacity, ease of builds, size of builds, ease of refilling, airflow high or low, Size (large tank Vs. small pocket friendly) Preferred ohm range, Glass or plastic tanks, ability to use stock coils, and price.
I'd pick the three that are most important to you so maybe we can narrow it down.

Are you a flavor chaser or cloud chaser?
Do you like Mouth to Lung vaping or direct lung vaping?
I'd hate to completely sacrifice flavor, but in this case I'd say clouds; the baby beast is 3ml which is low, but fine; i have only ever used tanks, so a someone easy build would be nice; I currently use about .4.

If you're just looking for clouds, That has more to do with large airflow, large build decks, and plenty of juice flow. I might have a few suggestions for those...
My first suggestion would be the Griffin 25. The velocity style deck allows for large sized coils, and it's definately not lacking in air flow. I use the earlier 22mm version as my main device now, and the 25 just enlarges just about everything. I know the 22 is good for flavor too, so the 25 should be fairly good for flavor as well.
If you're just looking for clouds, there's one I'd give a shot..the Smok TF-RTA G2 or G4. This atomizer is fairly large and heavy, but it offers an interchangeable deck to allow a dual or quad coil builds. The G2 is also a velocity style deck somewhat similar to the griffin, but the build deck is slightly larger on the griffin for dual coils. The quad coil setup doesn't allow for large coils, but it's got four coils instead of one.
I'll admit, I haven't tried the Smok TF-RTA, and I am a firm believer of the Griffin for a very well rounded design. I will give one advice though, I'd recommend getting a small kepler type heat sink for under the atomizer. Not necessarily for the heat, but more for keeping the 510 dry. I've noticed with lower build coils, there is some spitback. And even though the spitback doesn't go throught the drip tip, it goes into the airflow.. and will seep down the airflow control ring and back on to your mod and 510. The kepler will stop that juice from entering your 510 and seeping into your device. That's just my suggestion though.

Since you are obviously new to rebuildables I'd suggest you go with full sized atty's and stay away from the mini's only because the latter can be a bit more difficult to build on given the limited room many offer. Besides I'm of the opinion that full size atty's have better vape potential than the mini's. I have mini Goblins & Serpents and a few others but none of them come up to the performance of a full size. If you did want mini then I'd suggest a Theorem.
Look at it as not a choice of tank vs RDA vs RTA vs RTDA vs RBA etc but rather just a choice of which one to get first.
Makes it easier to decide.
Me I am partial to the RTA's but also have lots of tanks converted with RBA's. Like the mini's though some RBA's can be a bit difficult to build on just because they're small. There is an RBA for the Baby Beast and its deck dosen't look that small so maybe give that a consideration.

Yea, I agree with what smoke_too_much said. Although I love the goblin mini, and it has plenty of airflow, I didn't suggest it because of it's limited build deck. Most mods have their own flaws, and the goblin mini's is build deck size and the "spitback" getting into the 510. It's still one of my favorites. It does tend to lean towards flavor over vapor though because of the tight chamber.
The only reason I didn't recommend the baby beast's RBA head, is the fact it doesn't have a small lip on the airflow right under the coil. It doesn't take much of a lip.. just enough to keep any spitback/condensation from going down into the airflow. Other than than that, for building and other things, it looks great.. it just might have some very minor leaking through the airflow.

Get yourself a limitless or a geek vape avacado 24 clone. Those are Rdta's, they're drippers but with a tank. Easy and fun to build on, and cheap I belive fastech sells the avacado clone for like 9.99 or so. Best of all no leaks, bc the coil build sits on top of the tank.
