Taifun GT Discusion!

I posted this in another thread but figured I might get better responses if posted here...

I am ready to snarf up, and have in cart, a Taifun GT 4. But I can't decide on which XS tank kit to get for it....

Had all the previous GT's and dug em so the 4 it was... Not a fan of how tall they are (you can use them as a baseball bat if needed) so I also want to snag an XS kit for it as well.

Anyone have the GT 4 with either of these XS kits? There are 2... One is a 2ml version from the Smokerstore (who thunk of that name anyways?) and the other is the Steam Tuner. The Steam Tuner says it holds 4ml... I assume it must be taller but I can't find anything that lists dimensions on them, height wise....

Ordered from pipeline france the 2ml version, smokerstore version .. hopefully will get this week and will report.
I love GT4 and use it a lot but sadly with my NET tobacco tends to sweet them a lot , hopefully the smaller chamber on nano kit will be a little better with my NET eliquids

I have had the 2ml glass tank for the GT IV for about a week now. Love it, ask me anything. As for how it compares to the steam tuners tank, they're about the same in outer dimensions, however as the steam tuners tank is PC/PMMA, it can be much thinner, and it is. That is why it holds over 4ml of liquid. The one issue I have with the steam tuners kit is how the top cap is both reverse threaded and completely void of knurling. It also has an issue of collecting juice around the outside when refiling. Last and most annoying of all, the drip tip, except for very narrow tips, has to be removed before top filling, as the 510 connection is inside the tank itself, not the top cap. This leads to a very messy experience. I'd rather refill twice as much, but that's just me. The 3ml Ultem kit is very nice as well, however, it requires the top cap from the original 5ml tank. I do enjoy the small platform for the drip tip on the 3ml ultem tank as I find it to be more comfortable than the top cap provided with the 2ml glass tank which is void of any drip tip platform. Also the 3ml tank is about the same size as the 2ml glass and the steam tuners tank. The ultem is a few mm taller with a tip due to the platform. All of them are smaller than the 5ml tank of course but I still do love the look of the 5ml. Just not so much the look of it and the weight it adds in the pocket. The glass tank is great when you dont mind such a small capacity. The issue I see with it is that it's so thick that the capacity was reduced by about half. I feel like a thinner quartz glass or ultem "glass" for this kit would be ideal for the shortest kit with proper top fill that could potentially hold 2.5 or 3ml.

No leaks, fits fine. That’s the case for the 2ml glass and the 3ml ultem tank. No need to change any orings in my case. You may need to if the tank is too loose or too tight on the bottom part of the tank where it’s meant to seal to the top of the outer deck.

Kayfun 5 has great flavor but kayfuns do better with more bakery, sweet rice & mango or cookies and custards. Taifun excels with most fruits in my opinion and with mentholated liquids. I run a 3mm fused ss Clapton usually 26/36 or triple fused 28/36 spaced and around 5 wraps. I’m pretty happy with it but of course it’s far more power hungry and juice thirsty than any of the kayfuns. Chamber size being larger has a lot to do with this. Due to my preference of fruit flavors, I tend to use the taifun gt4 far more than my kayfun 5 squared. I use the prime for anything as the flavor on it is just phenomenal considering how little juice and power it needs to perform well with a nice warm throaty vape.

Well it seems I am the only one use on my Taifun gt4 a simple spaced coil Kanthal 26 gauge at around 0.8 ohms 15 wats
I have tried claptons or thicker wire but not my thing as I vape only NET tobaccos and kind of restricted DL

I'm currently away so can't post any build pictures, but I'm in love with this tank. Hands down the best RTA I have ever owned. And I have Kayfun, SQuapes, GG. I do also love my Dvarw DL it has awesome flavour also and a joy to use. Bit the GT4 is flavour all day and easy to Build on. Love it

I have the 2ml tank kit for a week now and looks great but still big , bigger than most full sized 5ml atomizers . Anyway got to vape my first time ever fe RTA clones like Skyline, Hurricane V2 and Flash E Vapour. Wish i never had spend the money on those clones , but i like the flavour and the draw on FEV , but impossible for me in UK to get a Flash E Vapour product, sold out everywhere on some EU sites..
Love my Taifun GT4 and having another authentic tank Rose V3 and comparing with those clones i bought the diference in quality , easy of build , o-rings , just by looking at the SS metal

Coming from a more loose MTL/restricted DL background with Squape Rs and Kayfun5, I’m thinking of getting the new mtl post and chamber reducer for my Taifun. Any thoughts on this? There’s not much info on the internet. Also, what size torx screwdriver fits the new centerpin?

on a german forum they talk about the new mtl kit and from what understood with google translate , positive thoughts
Creme de Vape in UK has started selling Taifun products, hopefully they stock this new mtl kit
Love Taifun GT4 but wish the draw was more restricted.
Now abou chamber reducer, i have it for few weeks now and is great , flavour wise is the same as the 5ml chamber original

smokerstore official german taifun webstore has MTL kit, also today i saw on their website some other item , MTL like chimney insert ultem but for me in UK they cant ship here.

Are you sure SS will not ship to the UK? I did not think they would ship to the US, but according to Oliver Simon, they will. Send a note to info@smokerstore.de and ask.

I have contacted Simon in the past and unfortunately he said to me , they cant ship in UK
Creme de Vape in UK has started selling Taifun products, they have in stock Taifun GT4 tpd edition but you can buy normal chimney wich you can convert tpd edition to 5ml . Also Taifun GT4 pure glass wich basically is the 2ml small chimney . hopefully they will add more parts like mtl post.
But if you buy from France they do ship to UK but havent found any french sites have them in stock often.
Smokerstore should add more their presence in UK becouse they have fantastic products and normally they sold out everywhere
