Sweet tarts or other sour juices

I'm a recently reconverted vaper and the flavor choices are even more plentiful than they used to be. But all I really see are tobacco, sweet, and menthol flavors. Where are the sour flavors? Have I just not dug enough yet? I tried some Sweet Smarts from MEL because the description and some of the reviews said sweet tarts and/or a smarties flavor. It's definitely smarties if anything, almost has a chalky flavor to it even. To me, it tastes like some kind of children's chewable medicine...and not one of the good ones either.

I bought my first kit this time around at a flea market and they had a sweet tarts juice that was spot on. I don't know why I didn't buy some but I didn't, and making the 45 minute drive to go pick some up now (and at an inflated price) just doesn't really appeal to me.

Could someone point me in the direction of a true sweet tart juice, or some juice that's just wonderfully sour?

tomadc, I saw that one earlier but wasn't sure about it since there were only 2 reviews on it and one of them said it was more smarties than sweet tarts. Is it for sure sweet tarts?

And thanks, Scottish. I'll have a look at MBV.

I thought it was very close to sweet tarts. They have a pixie stix flavor that reminded me of smarties.

As an aside, be careful with citrus and cinnamon if you are using plastic tanks (both flavors may find their way into sweet/tart flavorings). Cinnamon and Citrus flavors will break down the plastic in the tank - you will get cloudy tanks and they can/usually do crack.

I've heard about that and luckily so far I've only had 1 Kanger T3 out of 5 get just a little bit cloudy with some cinnamon juice, and I only noticed the cloudiness when I was cleaning the tank. Once I put some juice in it, it cleared right back up. Not to say it won't get cloudier and eventually crack but its a small price to pay since T3's are so cheap. I just hope I have as good of luck with my Vivi Nova. Fingers crossed.

I'd worry more about the byproducts being produced by the plastic breaking down. Not the cost of the clearo it wrecked.
You end up vaping what ever chemicals are released into the tank.

I never found any good sour flavors. But I mixed my own today.. Doesn't help you out much, but I'm enjoying what tastes like a blackberry sour patch kid.

That is the biggest issue with it - a 2 or 3ml tank will create a mess if it cracks but, plastic breaking down and being inhaled is less than good for you...

Well I had not even thought about the byproducts of broken down plastic being released in the juice. I guess I should look for a metal tank for my Vivi Nova Neptune.

Hiding, what did you use in your mix to make the juice sour? If its a DIY type flavoring, I'd like to get some to add to the juices that I'd like to be a little more sour. I've got a bottle of Red Drop from Mountain Oak Vapors, it's raspberry limeade. It's good juice, but its a bit more on the sweet side than I care for and almost has that carbonated bite to it that real limeade has. Tastes really close to a flavored limeade from Sonic. I added about 10 drops of lemon juice to a 30ml bottle and it killed off most of the soda taste and gave it more of a sour finish. I don't really want to add lemon juice to everything that I want to be more sour because I don't want to make everything taste lemony, plus I don't know what real lemon juice will do to my tanks and attys.

I diy cinnamon and lemonade (not in same bottle, as 2 different flavors) at 5%. just enough flavor, but not enough to mess with the plastic. ive never been a fan of drinking lemonade, but wanted to try something different, its really good. :)

You could go glass as well. Kanger's protank is a bit airy but works well (and you can plug oen of the air holes to get better pull if it suits you) and it isnt terribly expensive.

I use Malic Acid(MA) to make sour flavors. Malic Acid Powder
Make sure you look at the instructions for it. You don't just add the powder to your juice. You need to dillute it way down.

1g of the MA powder, in 10ml of plain pg (this gives you a 10% solution), then you are only adding 1 or 2 drops of that solution to 5ml of your juice.
I used 0.1ml of MA (10% solution) in a 10ml mix.
