At this point, I've tried almost every 'category' of vaping. Still the best is an AGAT2 on a Provari.

But for the past couple of days I can't get satisfied. Even at 18mg nic, I can't help but feel I'm sucking and sucking to get those satisfying pulls I want. What gives? Am I a nic hound? 16 weeks without a Camel. I LOVE vaping and couldn't be happier having those nasties out of my life. But I still crave that great feeling in my throat cigs gave me without sucking every last breath out of my PV.

I have a Provari, Natural, AGAT2, Terminator, 30 and 32 gauge Kanthal, 400 mesh SS, 2.5mm Silica, LR 1.8 viv nova, LR Cartos. I have the tools, but can't get the good vape! If I wrap a 1.5ohm coil with 30gauge Kanthal, I keep cranking up the volts on the Provari and all I get is more warmth from the drip tip and borderline burning juice. I don't want to suck for 30 seconds and feel I shouldn't have to. At this point, my Natural is just lame with an 18350 battery.

Do I just need to try some 28gauge kanthal and strive for sub ohm coils? Also I failed to mention juice. Too high VG, gunky, thick, and gives me a weird taste and feeling in my mouth. Too high PG, too thin and not enough vapor. My needs may be outweighing my skills I feel...

Maybe try drilling out the hole in your AGA-T2 a bit bigger?

Also, PG is known to give a harder TH over VG. Since you also want more vapor (which will come with drilling out the hole), try a high PG/VG mix of juice...that way you get a good solid TH, with a good amount of vapor from the VG mixed in.

If that doesn't work, we'll move on to the next thing lol. Don't worry. We'll get you figured out.

I'm going to give you my opinion on vaping...
When I first started, I found myself going through something similar.
And as simple as this may sound, I found that I was drawing too hard on my tank.
For me, trying to duplicate all the sensations of smoking an actual cigarette was a losing battle.
So, I had to change the way I draw.
I found that drawing slow and deep is where my sweet spot was at.
With a cig, you have that filter and I believe that is what gave me that tighter hit.
Vaping is a much lighter experience, in my book. ;)
Hope I am making sense.

I agree with middleborn. Easy does it. Drawing hard is not going to give you more vapor/flavor. A steady and slow draw generates more vapor and the flavor comes through cleaner, not burnt.

Also, as you use the clearo, carto, or atomizer, the coil starts to get gunked up and will not produce large plumes of vapor as when it's new or clean.

I got a ten pack of 1/16" Titanium Something Coated High Speed Bits from Harbor Freight. One bit did the trick in both my AGA-T+s Air Hole and my IGO-L. It is a bit of a light draw, it comes out to 1.58mm, but the bigger air hole makes a world of difference in flavor and vapor, especially for people who prefer faster draws.

If you want to try a more controlled approach I'd suggest starting with a 1.0mm bit and work your way up 0.1mm at a time with different bits. Home depot has a micro drill set for ~$10 that has all the sizes youd need to experiment and even a few bigger ones for adding an air hole to your vamo/natural collar after you've ground down the 510 connector to get devices to sit flush

Edit: The bigger air hole also cools down the coils reducing the juice burning flavors at higher watts while still giving an incredible vape. For your Natural I'd suggest 28awg kanthal or wait til Temco has the 0.8x0.1mm ribbon in stock for a 28awg equivalent. Lower ohms + bigger air hole on mechanical = very delicious vape indeed and much satisfaction with nic. You might even end up reducing your strength.

Shoot for about 0.8-1.0 ohms for the mechanical on 28awg or equivalent ribbon
Shoot for about 1.3-1.5 ohms for the provari/VV on 30awg or equivalent ribbon (0.5x0.1mm)

I would try sub-ohm. You get a huge hit, and don't have to draw long. You sound like you need to delve a bit into "extreme vaping".

Also, get some 24mg or higher juice. You're still on the first stages of quitting, and supplying yourself with enough nic is an important part of staying off cigarettes for many people.

Ditto on the higher nic. I had to go up to 32mg before I stopped feeling what you are going thru. Also, and this IS serious, try vaping like PBusardo does. Watch a juice review. One button push includes: quick mouth puff, longer draw straight out the nose, then full draw with full inhale. THAT satisfies.

He does know how to warm up a coil.

Wow. A lot of great stuff here. Is it possible to achieve a lower ohm coil with 30g until I get some 28 or ribbon in? Is it a matter of looser wraps or less wraps? I normally go 3/4 or 4/5 with varying results. My main focus has always been getting those middle coils to glow brighter than the top and bottom and have been doing well with pretty good consistency.

One thing I also recently stumbled on is isopropyl alcohol to keep the battery connection clean. My provari seemed to be giving me higher ohm readings than when the coil was brand new and took higher voltage to heat things up. A quick clean and I was back to normal. Something I've read about but not really on a regular basis. $2 CVS run and it made a big difference.

Its not just that. I've read where we get more nic. thru our nose and throat than our lungs, in vaping. Also, one is basically contacting all the "g-spots" with this method. Double flavor sensation, double throat hit, you know what I mean? (Like, by the time your inhaling it, your already tasting it)

I too have a natural and aga-t2. so at first I only had the vamo and ego, and i tried .28 gauge cause Pbasardo did it, but couldn't get enough ohms for the vamo(1.2 ohms is the lower ohm limit), then when I did with 6/7 wrap 30 guage 1.7 ohm it wasn't hitting right and I had a metallic taste, then when i got the natural I tried a 3/4 wrap 28 gauge a second time and now it is just thick tasty vape, took me a minute to adjust the coil so no hot spot, but once I did it really reacts faster at .9 ohm. a small drag can be a big hit, throat hit is better than anything else, flavor is all there. I too was disappointed with the 30 gauge at 1.7 ohm so I can understand, low ohm natural is the way to go, bar none, now I am interested in making the air-flow hole a little bigger. I used the petar k method to make the coil, seems to work better that way. I didn't oxidize or juice burn, just torched it rolled the wick, stuck it in and dry burned the coils to oxidize and played with it until they were all lighting. once I did this and added juice I got another hotspot, so I adjusted the coils a little and bang. perfecto.

I HAD to start w/ 36mg juice to get the 'kick' to kill the craving. I've dropped to 24mg now & will be dropping down to 18mg in the near future. (If it doesn't do it for me, I'll just bump the nic back up.)
