It lies between three things to find your flavor spot on sub ohm, the ambient temperature of your liquid/viscosity, the wattage you're vaping at and the mix of your juice vs the ohm's of your coil.
I'll just say I'm using a .5 ohm coil (pretty standard these days in tanks)...
If I'm vaping my usual 75/25 VG/PG I get much better flavor around 22.3 Watts if the ambient temperature is moderate. If its very hot outside like 90+ I have to up the wattage to about 26.7 to achieve the same flavor because the VG will become thinner at a higher temperature and I need to produce more vapor to achieve my flavor..
Now when I'm vaping a higher pg flavor like 60/40 or 50/50 I don't need as many watts to achieve the flavor, with the same setup I can vape it between 17.9 or if its hot outside maybe 19.1, PG is a very good flavor conveyor, it's much thinner and takes less watts to vape but produces less vapor.
If you're not making your own juice and buy from different manufacturers the viscosity of your juice is always going to be different, some manufacturers will add thinners to their juice, the best thing to do is start at a low wattage and slowly increase your wattage until you find your flavor zone.
Hope this helps
