I'm not sure if this will help or not, but Bull City Flavors has a feature where customers can comment on specific flavors from specific manufacturers to help you find the "right" flavor concentrate for you recipe. For instance, when choosing a pineapple flavor, some brands' pineapple will taste more like the fruit, while others will taste more like the candy.

General thoughts on recreating, cloning, or just trying to "get close," to a commercial e-liquid:
-- Commercial liquid is often highly flavored (for resent ex/still-smokers to be able to taste), and highly sweetened (it is the last "flavor" to disappear from a abused palate). So... don't automatically discount higher flavor percentages; and always consider using a sweetener.

--Commercial liquids have to be profitable. Manufacturers are not going to add an ingredient unless it is absolutely necessary. They will also use the cheapest ingredient they can that will provide the desired result. So... be wary of needlessly busy recipes; and focus on core concentrate manufacturers (FW, TFA, CAP, and maybe FA)(Exception: INW Shisha Strawberry; which is a good "artificial" strawberry useful for providing that "gooey" strawberry note.).

--Consider how long the commercial liquid has been around. A 4 year old recipe is not likely to be using concentrates that have just come to market in the last 6 months.

A couple of random thoughts on strawberry boosters:
-- INW Cactus is found useful, by many, to add juiciness. So is Pear (most brands). And, when used at lower percentages, won't try to dominate the intended strawberry profile.

-- TFA Dragon Fruit, and most Raspberry concentrates, are good for "filling out" strawberry flavors (making them more "strawberry-y"), without being particularly identifiable themselves. Again, keep percentages low; they are there to enhance the strawberry not stand out on their own.

It was, eh.... wondering if maybe there are better strawberry flavors to use that are more potent?

I think you may want to investigate something tart or sharp (raspberry maybe) to add a bit of the sweet acid strawberry center flavour.

This suggestion may help with the "more potent" part and also to provide some "sweet acid strawberry center" flavor to it. OSDIY's own "One Stop Blend"...called Succulent Strawberry, would IMO help supply both of those in the recipe. I can definitely taste all parts of a real strawberry in it.

It's made to be used singly with your own PG, VG, and Nic. However, used at a very small % with any of the other strawberry flavorings mentioned...may just do the trick of providing a more realistic strawberry taste. To me, it's plenty strong even at just 3% when used singly, because it gets even alittle stronger as the days go by. When I first got it, I did a 10mL tester at 6%, and it was actually too harsh and irritating to the insides of my lips and the roof of my mouth. Tried more small testers at gradually reduced %, until I found that 3% was the point that wasn't harsh/irritating to me and still provided the great flavor.
