Strange dreams - withdrawal or over vaping?

So I'm 3 weeks without an analog now, and from pretty early on I've been having very vivid strange dreams. I wouldn't call these nightmares as they don't panic me or scare me, although they can be a bit disturbing at times.

I'm not someone who normally has regular vivid dreams, my whole life I've not really had that many dreams I remember after waking up but since quitting I can remember almost all my dreams for days. So I'm wondering if this is just part of quitting? I've never tried to quit analogs before so can't compare vaping with other methods. Or is it maybe I'm vaping too much before I go to sleep? I like vaping, a lot! I already know I need to get a lower nic strength for night as I'm struggling to get to sleep at night because I like to vape at night even more.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Having vivid dreams could be caused by nicotine. Many people tend to vape more often then they smoked so they are actually getting more nicotine and less of the other chemicals that may dull their brain activity.

I have noticed that my dreams are more vivid since I started vaping. I rather like it though, so I'm not complaining.

actually looking a study linked in the final-countdown-august-8th-your-fda-comments-needed thread you actually have to vape really hard to get the same blood nicotine level as a cigarette. I suspect you are actually suffering from nicotine withdrawal, as vivid / feverish dreams can occur as part of the withdrawal process for anything that is physiologically addictive. The several times my father tried to quit smoking he also mused about strong dreams.

Don't discount the "vivid-dreaming due to nicotine" thing. You don't get the same chemicals and "smoked out" feeling with e-cigs. And you're vaping to compensate for tobacco withdrawal and thus vape A LOT particularly in the early weeks (you're still in withdrawal from more than just nic).

Cut back to 0 nic or real low nic juice a few hours before bed and see if it helps.

There's other things that happen during the withdrawal too....basically, you'll "level out" soon. There's more than 1 thing going on for you right now. Don't quit quitting. :) Congrats.

Thanks for the responses guys! Going to get a really low nic level to use at night as I find I vape right up to going to sleep and am a bit of a night owl anyway. If it's the withdrawal hopefully it should go soon, prob just a combination of everything! Totally possible that it's partly psychological also as a lot of the dreams seem to centre around trying to get somewhere or being trapped somewhere.

It's not that bad to be honest just a bit disturbing at times!
