Ive noticed that when I leave a tank lying upright overnight, it seems quite sluggish the next morning….I'll get a bit of gurgling when I fire it and usually have to just fire the mod and blow on the drip tip to burn off excess liquid that may have soaked into the coil overnight.

I was wondering if it would be ok to store the tank upside down overnight….one upside is that there wouldn't be liquid soaking into the coil all night….next morning, I could invert the tank, leave it for 5-10 minutes and then commence vaping.

Just want to know if this seems foolish or workable….anyone tried it?

I keep all my tanks upside down in the rotation and have never had a problem. Occasionally get a drop out of the chimney but that's a sign the coil will need maintenance soon.

I have two eGo style batteries as well as two mods. I stand them upside down when not in use so that any liquid in them doesn't stay in them. The two types of clearo's and the tank I use are either put upside down or horizontal when not used.

Well, not sure what to think now.

I have 12 tanks (3 RTA's) always filled, in rotation, stored drip tip up. Although I experience the occasional pop or crackle on the first fire when a tank sat for a couple days and some RTA seepage I tend to blame more on wicking flaws, nothing that I consider problematic. Since I would have to totally re-design my home made vape station, I think I can live with the way it is unless more serious problems arise.

Only had this problem with some of the older kanger clearos and such. Evods and the like.
I keep my subtank mini's using the RBA deck upright and some sit in the stand for weeks and no problems with dribbles.

I think that is is more of a problem with the old silica wicked clearos and not with most modern cotton wicked tanks.

And here I was just leaving them sit on my mods. Question If you leave the tank upside down for an appreciable time do you have to reprime the wick again, as it must dry out if stored like that?
No repriming but give it a few minutes to wick back up properly esp if you do higher watt vaping.

I've never had a single tank leak on me like described, but I'd attribute it to a crappy coil setup/built or a bad seal.

Since no mention of which tank and such is doing this, hard to tell.

But a proper wicking would simply hold the liquid in suspension and should not have extra get through (causing a leak), with some sort of pressure being an exception.

Is the coil is doing any gurgling or wet hits, then there's issues with the wick.

As far as in hot car, these tanks get a lot hotter with usage, I know I have a couple of tanks that a chain vape session and I could cook an egg with it, but still no leaks, at least no more than sweating, so I gather not enough wick in there or the tanks used don't have proper in-going airflow. (as all tanks need some air to get in to balance the liquid wicking out and not cause a vacuum, stopping the wicking process)
