Hi, everybody :)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays (or whichever you prefer)

I have been smoking for 10-13 years I guess and I've just got 10 Motives rechargable e-cig. However, there is so much I need to knwo before I start (yeah, it seemed simple enough) and I hope you gues will be able to help.

First up, refills. I understand 10 motives battery can be used with some other brand refills, right? The original is £7/5 refills while some I found on internet go for £4/5 refills. However, they claim that one refill is 20 cigs (counting that 1 cig is 8-10 puffs which is ridiculous). This begs the question, so what are the best refills for 10 motives e-cig?

Second, how do I know a refill is finished? I vaped during the holidays and only googled about that when I returned. They say "you'll know because there will be less vapor and the taste will change". To me, all thoughout holidays the taste varied and it was never "tons of vapor". So, my question is does the vapor ever run out? If the vapor is always produced, what If I vape ever when the "stuff" is finished?

Thanks, everybody.

Glad I found this forum (and e-cigs :)

Hi!

This is going to be a regional brand name you have there. Was it something you bought on line? If so please give us a link to it so we can understand what you have there and can then help you sort out your options.

The pre-filled cartos or cartridges? Yeah - they lie. "Equal to a pack of cigarettes..."

To answer your one question: What you have learned is mostly correct. When the pre-filled things run out the vapor production just disappears and/or it starts tasting really harsh or burnt because the dried out filler is is now getting singed. Some times the pre-filled things are already dried out when you get them.

Depending on what you have the pre-filled cartos or cartridges may be refillable. If they are that will be cheaper than just buying more pre-filled. (And probably taste better too.) But we need to see what you are using. Is there a link to it on-line?

Welcome!

Hi, everybody :) Welcome

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays (or whichever you prefer)

I have been smoking for 10-13 years I guess and I've just got 10 Motives rechargable e-cig. However, there is so much I need to knwo before I start (yeah, it seemed simple enough) and I hope you guys will be able to help.

However, they claim that one refill is 20 cigs (counting that 1 cig is 8-10 puffs which is ridiculous). This begs the question, so what are the best refills for 10 motives e-cig? If they use a standard 510 connection, Boge Cartos. fill them yourself using bottled ejuice. (look up the condom carto filling method). You should also be able to refill the cartridges that came with your 10 motives kit several times before you have to toss them.

Yeah, the vapor will run out. You will taste burning and it will taste bad. At that point you will have to toss the carto. The vape will taper off noticeably towards the end.

Thanks, everybody.

Glad I found this forum (and e-cigs :)
Hope that helps.

You might also want to look into bigger and better things (yes there is far better stuff for vaping out there) Most beginners start (like you,) with cig-a-like type vaporizers, then move on to eGo type vaporizers, and then finally move on to APV's (advanced personal vaporizers) with replaceable batteries and rebuildable atomizers.

In the end, remember, use what works best for you. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. :) and welcome to the forum.

from the very limited about of info i can find about the 10 motives cartomizers, i think the threading is proprietary. so you cant use anything but the cartridges they sell.

there are a bunch of websites selling cartomizers that are "10 motives compatible" but say nothing about what exactly that means...
i would interested to know what exactly the thread pattern is like XD

To the OP:

IMHO, you should plan on moving away from this product, especially if you want to give e-cigs a good shot. I'm not saying they're bad, but you can find a much better e-cig. As you read more at these forums, you'll quickly see that. As far as I can tell, no one sticks with the very first e-cig they've bought. You won't have to spend a ton of money, so don't think that the e-cig you're vaping with today, will be the e-cig you'll be vaping with 3 months from now....

I think most of us have starting in a similar way Hammer.

As you continue you will probably find you starter kit to be frustrating.

At that point you will find yourself at a fork in the road, spend serious
bucks (or pounds) on equipment, or going back to cigs. Serious bucks
means about +/- $150.

I have spend about $80/month on my vaping habit. This seems to be
fairly typical for a heavy vapor, and represents a substantial saving
over tabacco cigs.

The great thing for you is that there is now so much good equipment
out there for you. This was not the case 3 years ago.
The reviews are all over the place, myself I use MVP and epods.

So getting into vaping does mean a investment in equipment.
I like the $700 investment I made in vaping. Pretty sure I will
be better than was my investment in tobacco. : )

Welcome to the forum Hammer!!!!!!!

They look just like my old Infiniti cartridges, which were a short threaded 510 connection. 10 motives are the same thing.
Each cartridge is good for approx. 250-300 puffs and is equivalent to 20 cigarettes, these cartridges are designed to fit onto Smoke Relief branded electronic cigarettes but are the standard 510 fitments so should work on any e-cigarette designed for 510 cartridges.
Compatible with:
These refill cartridges are designed to fit the Smoke Relief branded electronic cigarettes but may also fit the following brands:

- 10 Motives (fits and works perfectly)
- Freedom (fits and works perfectly)
- iCig (fits and works but the cartridges are slightly wider)
- Nicolites (fits and works perfectly)
- Skycig (fits and works but the cartridges are slightly wider)

Thank you all for the replies. It's still a little confusing but I guess it all comes to you with time. For example, I just found oout the difference between ecigs and vaporizers.
Yeah, I the near future I will be looking into something else quality-wise but for a couple of months I probably will use my 10 motives.

SO, there are two current issues:
1. Replace cigarettes with 10motives ecigs
2. Figure out what to look for next

1) Do you think these refills I've found 10 Motives refills compatible, 10 Motives e-cigarette refills cartridges, 10 Motives Cartomizers | Murray & Priory e-cigarette refills, e-cig cartridges, cartomizers) should fit my 10Motives cig? Are there any cheaper than £3.95 per 5 pack refills?

2) I've just found out the difference between vaporizers and ecigs. Maybe it's just the first impression but due to the size difference, I think I should look for ecigs. Is it mostly true (it's not exactly official) that the more expensive is the ecig, the cheaper are the refils and vice versa? At least this is what I've found while browsing through the reviews.

Thanks, guys :)

i spent about $1000 USD my first year and after that i sold a lot of my mods to my friends (got some of my money back) and kept the few i really liked i have like 4 mods now. 2 are VV and 2 are mech.. and 2 ego batteries.
im building my own coils, and mixing my own e-liquid. all stuff i find fun and interesting (hobby).. next years projected cost is a little over a $100 and im totally happy with that... i did the math like 6 times and had someone double check it i could not believe it..

Not so much. It's cheapest (for you at this time) just to buy bottled ejuices and empty cartos and fill and re-fill them yourself.

I know I sound like an idiot but how do I find empty cartos for 10motives ecig? Btw, are they cartos, cartomizers or cartriges? The only place I found is THIS but they don't have any pictures. Or are they universal in some kind?

Also, I found these empty cartos in a site from my country. They have a pic of empty cartos and say "select your model: 510 or eGO". Should 510 fit? (someone below mentioned it's "standard 510 ecig").

You will need to search for 510 cartos or 510 cartomizers. Ignore any results that offer pre-punched, or pre drilled holes. Those are for using with a tank.

The difference between a regular 510 cartos and the cartos you are using is the length of the threads. A regular 510 cargo will have some threads showing when you sxrew it onto your battery.

Here's the thing. If you decide to upgrade to something else, 510 cartos will work on whatever you upgrade to. The cartos that come with your cig-a-like, won't. They won't screw down far enough to make contact with the battery.

Hope that helps.

Edit: The three best brands to look for are Boge, Ikanvape, and Smok (Smoketech). and rinse them out first! You don't want to vape primer fluid. :)
