Some Ego-T chargers give false read outs

I have a weird issue with certain batteries on certain chargers.

One of my ego-t chargers takes most of my batteries, charges them and indicates green when they're done.

However, with one battery, it'll never show green and looks to be continuously charging (Stays Red/blinking Green every few seconds). Yet if I unplug the battery in question and switch it to the backup charger, it'll show as charged (green) and will also work for the same duration as a normally charged battery.

My concern here is about overcharging, though it doesn't seem to be an issue.

Occasionally the chargers warm up ever so slightly, during a charging cycle (vendor says this is normal). This charger in question is warm for the first 3-4 hours (monitored it today), but is later cold. though the continuous blinking would indicate that it needs more time.

I'm just curious why this might be happening. Both the batteries and the chargers are relatively new and both are cleaned routinely.

Any thoughts?

I guess a good question would be, is it actually overcharging, as opposed to the cell(s) being damaged and preventing the battery from reaching the "full" voltage. One way to find out is to drain the battery while you monitor it's output. Or you can monitor the current going to the battery as it's charging.

With the CC/CV process, the battery should charge with a constant current (250ma/500ma/etc depending on the battery/charger/input combo) until it gets to about 80%, then it switches to constant voltage, and it will try to maintain 3.7V/4.2V/whatever.
