With 28 and 30 I've never had an issue with the classic making wide spaces in the coil and then squeezing them together on the screwdriver afterwards. Always springs back out to the perfect spacing for me.
That would be my favorite rda so far, the Twisted Messes. Large deck, deep juice well, freaking huge holes for wire. You can fit some insane builds on it. It's a little overkill for tc builds, but with the 510 drip tip adapter it works pretty good.
I third the screw technique. I've been using it for a year now. Got several different sizes of screws from Home Depot and get perfectly spaced coils every time, Kanthal, Nickel, etc. No problem...
I also leave it on the screw to mount and once the coil is mounted unscrew it and done... perfect every time.
Just an update. The first nickel coil that came with my tank is finally losing flavour after almost 4 weeks - kanthal coils usually last me 2 weeks before needing replacing. It's still producing almost as much vapour as it did but the flavour has definitely gone down.
So that's a result as far as I'm concerned - almost double the life of kanthal coils. Yippee!
