Ok so I can run the ribbon wire flat against the top screw positive, and kind of flat half twisted for the negative rite?

Yep. That's how I do it. I capture the negative side with the screw. Give it a half twist before the wick hole. Wrap my coil. Then open the space between the washer and screw head for the positive. Slide the ribbon in and check ohms then look for hot spots. Add juice and silly grin.

Had/have the same issue with mine. I thought there was a tiny crack in the tank, so ordered a replacement tank, but having the same issue. I'll have to try the plumber's tape thing as well. Great performance otherwise.

Somebody out there produces a metal replacement tank for the RSST.

So I decided to post this because I found a setup that I like and it works!

I did a dual wire single coil setup with a bed of cotton and no cotton in the tank so everytime I lift up the bed gets wet for some reason the taste increased even tho the top cap is huge... Taste is there vape is there throat hit also there.. Take a look what do u think

Finally picked up an RSST, so I built it with a micro coil/PID set up. I'm stoked that I was actually able to make a usable set up on my first attempt. I really NEED to drill out the airhole though. The stock draw is way too tight for me.

8 wraps, 30g, 1.8 ohms.

I want to try this. So the wick isn't actually going through the coils?

EDIT: I saw a couple posts down that just used a cotton ball and stuck some down into the tank. Interesting, I want to try this now. How often do you need to change out the cotton?

Got mine yesterday too, switched over the silver center post with stainless washer and o-rings, my old enlarged-hole cap with chamber reducer and the fill hole plug so a few of the parts are still compatible, just not the pieces around the tank itself. They seem to have made the area the cap fits on slightly bigger as it's not near as loose now.

Had the hardest time getting my RSST set up tonight...took me an hour to get the coils to glow properly (I put it away for a few weeks after I got it as I prefer my rippers, but I got new insulators and a silver plated post in so I wanted to set it back up).

Resistance is about .5 Ohms higher than I'd like (1.85 vs ~1.4 where I'd like it), and for whatever reason (likely that resistance) it is not throwing off a lot of vapor right now.

Not bad, though. Not sure I want to keep it, but that may change; especially if I can get the coil running right.

I love this thing, but I am having some wicking issues. I can wick it with mesh and get a decent, good but not great vape, but it's consistent. I've also been trying to wick with cotton balls, I just run a column of cotton down into the tank. It vapes like a dream...at first. But, the cotton wick always drys out and gives a burnt hit. It won't pull liquid up from the tank so I have to drip some cotton on the wick to get the good hit back for a few hits. Where's the killer consistent wick?
