Hey, I have a problem with my dorm room's smoke detector. It's very sensitive and beeps if it catches vapor. It is usually not a problem, because I don't vape when roommates are around, but now they will be away for 5days and I wanted to relax a little and vape in the room, but I don't want to pay a fine for turning on fire alarm. Any suggestions how I could vape with out turning it on?

Covering a smoke alarm could be viewed as "disabling" one which can result in rather hefty fines (I've seen reports of $500 fines for doing so). Don't know what the laws are in your country, but opening a window seems a better idea.
Air purifiers help too. They usually have a fan in them that will draw in the vapor. It's not that the vapor need to be purified, but it will dissipate the vapor by the time it reaches the smoke alarm assuming you're blowing the vapor toward the purifier not the alarm.
when a new smoke alarm is installed, it comes with a red " shower cap" to aid in dust/contaminates reduction during install and for protection during drywall prep and painting... there is a label on them stating to remove the protective cap once installed tho

Thank you all for suggestions, I asked staff lady about what would happen if I were to cover smoke detector in my room and she said that I can't do that and I will get fined for this, but she also said that no one has permission to enter my room if I don't want to and winked at me. Umm, I get mixed feelings about this, so I guess I'll just vape through an open window, still better than going to the stinky smoking place..
