Smoke Alarm

Has anyone had any issues setting off a smoke alarm with your pv? I vape in the bathroom at work. It's a fairly small one-man room, and it does have one of the fire alarm spigots in the ceiling. I would hate to set that thing off and have to exit the john soaking wet looking like Ace Ventura. "Do NOT go in there! Whoo!"

Well, at my APT building I blew directly into a smoke alarm and that didn't work. I even tried twice.

well you have nothing to worry about at all.. the spigot sensors that you see are set off by heat not smoke..

There's a difference between smoke detectors and sprinkler heads, which sounds like what you're describing. Sprinkler heads will not detect smoke, or vapor, or anything similar, they react to heat. Smoke detectors will not detect vapor, unless you purposely go about trying to do that (depending on the model).

I used to work at a hospital, and I walked around vaping all the time. I was wondering if I could set off an alarm, so I vaped right at it, and nothing.

But if you're still worried about it, just vape towards the ground. It will prolly dissipate before it gets to the roof.

Wouldn't think so, it's just vapor, like if your in the cold weather, what comes out of your mouth, vapor, so go vape.
