Smok Xcube 2....thoughts?

I'm in the market for a high power temp control device, and I'm on the fence between a 200w Tesla or the xcube 2 I'm leaning towards the xcube 2 but have seen some issues and have my concerns. With the screen being on top, and myself being a chronic over-dripper, I worry about killing the screen (have heard of it crapping out early). My other concern is the app seems pretty horrible. I mean, they can build this awesome mod, but can't get an app right. I will be one ...... off woman if I can't buy temp control options (titanium, stainless) or if I can't fine tune certain settings (or even change that fancy LED's color). I downloaded the app just to test it, and it force closes like crazy, but I can't tell too much bc I don't have the mod, although the crashing isn't a good sign.

All in all, does anyone have either or both of these mods?

What would you buy?

Has anyone had either for a while?

If you could go back would you buy it again?

Would you purchase a 2nd one if given the chance?

What gives one the edge over another?

And finally, what's a decent mid price rda and or subtank to pair it with?

Currently vaping on:
Kbox mini
.3 ohm dual coil build (22g nichrome)
@ 40watts
(Some free rda I got, maybe someone can identify it?)
Red dragon liquid by black hat vapors

I have friends running the cube2 and they both love them. I almost bought one but just couldn't get past the size and weight. I went m80 which is a lot smaller but also a lot less power. I haven't held the tesla so I can't tell you on that one. I will suggest you also take a look at the IPV3 LI. it is 165 but has an upgrade to 200, if you are put off by size and weight of the cube. If you can find one or both local to actually put your hands on, I say do that first. I didn't realize just how big the cube is until I saw it in person.

I don't think I'll mind the size, only problem is my phone is android so the app will be pretty screwy until they fix it

I've had the XCube 2 for almost a week now and I really like it. I was getting pretty ticked off about the app not working and not being able to get Ti and SS modes. I tried everything without success and had resigned myself to just using it in VW mode with SS.

The great news is they've updated the app as of today and I was able to finally upgrade to Ti and SS on my first try after uninstalling and reinstalling the app. It's working great now. :)

Had my cube2 a little over two weeks and I've used it exclusively trying to push it to see if anything will fail and it hasn't missed a beat been the best purchase I've made. App can be annoying but like the firmware they are updating it and giving support which is a positive and the mod itself is pretty solid you'd have to do a lot to break it. As for screen placement unless you allow a lot of liquid to get on it and stay on it your not going to have a problem and most of us wipe down when we notice liquid leaking so that's not an issue. You can do most stuff on the mod itself including everything to do with the led so your set there. I paid just over £40 for mine from fasttech I got the black as the original is the ultimate fingerprint magnet and shows every touch. If your after a good all round mod with working tc you can't go wrong with a cube2 for the money it costs it's the best bang for buck out there ATM.

I was kinda sour with SMOK after the the Xpro M80+ and the broken TC. I was going to come here and suggest you get a DNA 200 device if you really want TC, but it seems that they have fixed it with the XCube II from what I'm reading here...

All the same; I would personally save for a DNA 200 device that is known for the great TC. They are really impressing me so far.

I am looking for at least two more mods was going to get the reuleaux dna200 and whatever yihi are releasing in December reviews being positive and lately the thought has been going round my head to just buy five more xcube2's such is the positive experience I've had with this mod. Dna200 is nice but to get a decent quality mod your looking at least 4x the cost of the cube2 and it is nowhere near 4x as good so dilemma. Temp control is working very well on the cube2 for nickel I'm getting some ss wire soon so will comment then if it continues being as good, end of the day for what this mod costs there is nothing else that touches it and even get decent styling with it. If you can afford more or money isn't an issue you might be better off with something else but the cube2 is a very good mod and has given me some of my best vaping.

Was it authentic on fasttech? Bc when I was on their site, it said something like, "authentication label removed for our purchases"

How do you add ss and titanium? Without the app?

Yeah fasttech is selling authentic I think they remove some things to hide the 3rd party vendors they purchase them through but they are legit smok products. Yeah you need the app to purchase ti and ss TCR's only nickel is on by default and as I've only got nickel ATM I haven't done the purchase yet still waiting for the place I get my wire from to get some 430 grade ss wire.
